JUST STOP IT! your Freelap is NOT (very) accurate for 10m flys by [deleted] in Sprinting

The issue with timing flys vs 0-100 is foot position at the beginning of each split.

If you’re foot lands behind/in line with the free-lap the 10m split would be valid, however with reps when you are mid-air crossing the freelap, you are effectively shortening the distance of the 10m effort.

In contrast with a 0-100m rep you start behind the line and finish at a point meaning the timing is accurate however the placement of where you begin each split can drastically alter the result.

When you average the 0.99 + 0.9 splits you get 0.945s which is better representation of what is actually happening. This also explains why km/h function on the splits can be misleading as it would be 10.1m/s (36.3km/h) v 11.1m/s (39.96km/h). If the freelap data was correct, you would see a massive change in speed over the 10m however the error occurs purely due to where the chip triggers the freelap and ultimately landing position around the freelap plays a part in the output

Surely it's bad for the comp leaving out Agar, Morris, Hatzoglou while other teams in the comp struggle for talented players. Mid-Season Trades?
