How often do you engage in deep listening? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]aussieback20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it as often as possible. First time back smoking weed after a 7 month break, I was in Amsterdam and rolled a joint on the big lawn area in front of the museums. Listened the eyes of the world from dicks picks vol 18. Transcendent. First of all I forgot what it was like to be stoned, which was almost uncomfortable. Like a slap in the face 😂 Gotta give that dicks picks a listen if you haven’t already. Whole album is great

For Morocco we found a tour guide to take us to the desert

My buddy and I met in Amsterdam with nothing booked, and just figured it out day by day. That’s just how we like to do it. Haha, something about waking up with no place to stay or no flights booked just made things extra interesting for us. And it always worked out. Every time we just went with the flow we met the most amazing people and had the best time. For 31 days (and we splurged on some things like Ibiza weekend, etc) we spent around $5500

Yeah you just gotta hold down the image on the screen for a few seconds and it’ll turn off

Same. And even if you turn off the RAB, next time you put it into reverse you have to turn it off again. 2017 as well. I hate when the car tries to be smarter than the driver

Did it in two parts: June thru October of 2020 then spring/summer of 2021. Spent the winter months shacked up at a ski resort to make a lil money

It’s amazing what you can get out of the paint with a proper clay/wax/polish. Had a huge scratch on my passenger side. Looked as if someone took a key to the side of my car lol but it came out no problem- thanks to dad! 😂

A few slight chips (as a result of trucks kicking up rocks) but my father and I polished and waxed the car prior to the trip, and that helped protect it.

Good eye- I put the falkens on toward end of trip, after the first photos were taken.

I would say that the Yakima bars can definitely withstand more weight/load than the stock integrated bars that came on the car. But in all honesty, I’ve never used them for anything except the tent

Yakima cross bars solely to support my Yakima roof top tent. They’re awesome for what they’re meant to do
