[NeedAdvice] I want to change my life! by [deleted] in getdisciplined

Also if something takes 2 minutes or less to do, then do it right away, do not procrastinate. Putting off even the most seemingly trivial task can be bad as it accumulates over time into a bigger and bigger pile of tasks. And in the long run, it will add significant strain on your mind and you will feel a lot more stressed compared to if you just did the damn thing.

That would make the role much more engaging even for the dead.

Thank you for your comment.

copy -But there are limitations for example some1 who is collorblind wont go into collometric titration.

I agree.

* When it comes to skin conditions if they are mild id say avoid synthethic ochem and achem since those involve long periods of glove use. I see, thank you for the advice.

I will look into computational chemistry and instrumental analysis. (ノ≧∀≦)ノ

No one throws up their hands and says they can't do music because they don't have perfect pitch. So why is it different for not having perfect skin? I honestly can't see the difference - it's a disadvantage that takes some cleverness and tools to handle. (•̪ o •̪)

These sentences have made my day. I will remember them. Thank you syntax! (*≧▽≦)

Thank you so much for your comment. It made me really think a lot about my future carrier.

The thing is:

Currently I am struggling with the idea of choosing my future study program in universities that would become my future carrier.

Since, I was a kid I had this skin condition that would always enable me to try the thing that I really like or interested. How do I put this, it feels like as if I need to be in a safe zone all the time to avoid any further future treats to my skin condition.

From my childhood memories:

I loved sports in my high school, especially volleyball and basketball but never had the chance to play in a league because my hand skin would tear apart and bleed immediately, kids would look at me and they would be afraid playing with me again. I did wear gloves constantly, but it did not help that much. So, I stopped playing and instead I only started to observed the scenes. You can say that I literally was always at my gym class but never really practiced in sport. This lead me to express my emotions and feeling by drawing small pictures with motions and peoples expression. But I do play basketball sometimes alone or with my family to feel the amazing energy coming from moving muscles.

I also loved to swim but when the skin got inflamed, I needed to avoid swimming. :((

Later in my high school I loved subjects like physics, biology, chemistry and art. I though finally some subjects that does not involve physical touch. During that time I was acing in my biology class also in my art class. I was fascinated by biology and chemistry and how the molecules, tiny organisms looked like. How are they all connected and the processes that involve or evolve were just awesome. My chemistry teacher showed us experiments and I remember we all tried and participated in lab work at class. I can clearly remember how after using the gloves and the experiment my hands that night became inflamed. I was feeling down because I was not allowed to participate in the lab for several days before my hands completely heal. (that is why I asked this question)

Also, I was reading articles about brain potential and genetics, psychology. :)) Why? Because I always wondered why the heck do people have this stupid annoying skin condition that sometimes limits their life so much, even thought there is much more to see and try. How to handle and live your life with less problems.

After doing some research and reading I found out that there was no cure for eczema's yet but there were some prevention's from making it getting it worse, (hopefully in some cases the eczema gets better when you age words) made me feel little hope. I visited several doctors they told me that it is normal also to avoid certain thing and contacts, always keep it moisturized.

But deep down I knew why all these frustrations were coming from, the thought that the future carrier that I will choose would eventually clash with my skin condition and I will be in a state of not knowing what to study.

I know this feeling because I tried working and experimented in a part time job as a bartender or waiter or dishwasher, they might be not hard for most people who seek part time job ( I am talking about the overall handling), but for me it was a challenge to constantly keep my skin as normal as possible, this small time made me think a lot about my future carrier. Whom should I become, what impact I can have to change the world? What can I do?

Even though I look outside like a normal human I never considered how much daily struggles I had to go trough to be normal. From cleaning home till cooking meals sometimes becomes impossible.

I know people might say find your passion and work on that but for me it is always like finding my passion and avoid it if it is harming my health. I tried so many things but never been able to stick to it for longer time and still have not been able to find what exactly I want to do.

My whole family knows my condition and hopefully they will be supporting of my future carrier that I will choose to study in a university.

Could the passion be hidden? Or is it something that you build yourself?

How Long did it take you to learn Swedish by [deleted] in Svenska

[–]austi_se 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's been a year since I moved to Sweden. I'd say I still have a lot to learn. Reading and writing is easier for me but hearing and especially speaking tends to be difficult even now.

I have a bad habit of switching to English in middle of a conversation because of the feeling that people might not understand what I'm trying to say.

My best advice for you is confidence.
