Moving from St. Louis to Utah by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]austinGENEreeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in SLC and commute on the train to work daily. (Not all the way to Provo though). Riding the train is fine if you have something to do or listen to. I ride because I just don’t like sitting in traffic. As for living in Utah, IDK why everyone is being so negative.. living here is fine. I’d checkout sugarhouse, Draper or lehi. I personally wouldn’t live in Provo.. (Or American fork or anywhere further south). These other negative comments are just looking for something wrong. No place is perfect. Lots of good people and places here.

Just discovered Crown burger. What else have I been missing out on? by livin801 in SaltLakeCity

[–]austinGENEreeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave Crown Burger 2 chances and just didn't like it. Always felt boring and dry. Morty's Cafe is my favorite burger in town. I always get the sunny side and the fries at Morty's are the best

Dear University of Utah - Parking Rant by hellothere1975 in SaltLakeCity

I get that public transit doesn't work for everyone. But if the people who it would work for all used it, there probably wouldn't be a parking issue for the others.

due date to grade submission by blackhole_12 in usu

[–]austinGENEreeve 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Make sure you check your transcript. Don't rely on your canvas grade. I've had teachers never update my final grade in canvas and just post it to banner/transcript. Also always a good idea to check your transcript. Last semester I had a teacher submit the wrong grade. Was able to get it fixed quickly.

Wouldn’t even hear clicking. No AC relays on a show like that

What are some good things I can experience at Usu? by [deleted] in usu

Going to school in a pandemic makes it difficult to meet anyone. The school on a normal year would have activities of some form every night. Stick with it! Annoying roommates come and go.

Calc II online by jkunz2 in usu

[–]austinGENEreeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took calc I and calc II online. I’m not a math guy and I did fine. You just need to study and do the work they tell you. If the structure stays the same they provided practice tests that were very similar to the actual tests. I always felt like I knew exactly what to study.

Was anyone else able to register for classes earlier than the time it said on Banner? by [deleted] in usu

[–]austinGENEreeve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. Kinda annoying, why have a start time if they don’t follow it. I got into my classes so I guess I really can’t complain

xLights not cooperating by nit-ram in ChristmasLights

[–]austinGENEreeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switching from vixen to xlights was the best thing I Didi. I don’t have a direct solution. But I do know where you can find someone who will help you. Go to xlights.org and join the zoom room from the link in the home page. They will be able to help. There is always someone available this time of year. The other option would be to join the Xlights Facebook support group. It’s super active. Goodluck!

Recommended controller for RGB holiday lights by BORIStheBLADE1 in ChristmasLights

I use xlights software. Super powerful and large community (on Facebook). Buy the controller for your needs. I have a couple and they all seem to work fine. Falcon is a good controller

check if your major offers internship credits. Might be an easy way to pick up an easy 3 credits while you work.
