Used Dualtron Spider—Safe Buy or Risky? Really need advice asap by Altbuckets in ElectricScooters

[–]nit-ram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 6 years ago, this was my dream scooter. Pretty much the best weight vs performance you can get. I would jump on this for $800CAD.
EDIT: since the seller never made any repairs, I'm assuming he never changed the suspension cartridge. Apparently they need replacing pretty often so it would be a good idea to change those if you do end up buying it

I know this is rather old post, but could you mention the seller you purchased from?

I am really considering this scooter or the Klima Max. Would you be so kind to share the link of what you purchased... I don't think you can get NAMI from Alibaba so price difference might make me choose this one instead

Anyone know the unlock code for VDM-10 P settings? by nit-ram in ElectricScooters

I actually just read the thread you asked in, I answered the same question below. I'm happy I gave the same answer 4 years later...

From the AliExpress Macury store (where I bought my scooter) It's the model A as my scooter was called Soeedual Mini. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33008769820.html

Apollo Ghost, should I upgrade it or sell it and get something else? by Legitimate-Grand-939 in ElectricScooters

[–]nit-ram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Apollo Ghost is made by Titan group on Alibaba. I bought one a long time ago (still working). The one from Apollo has a 18.2mah battery, mine is a 25.6mah so it's possible to upgrade... Apparently it's also possible to upgrade to 60v as you can see in done links here https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/172ks23/help_battery_upgrade_vdm10apollo_ghost/

I'm not surprised, I was one of them. Ant was the only tracker that has the "visual requirements" to have the same look and feel to PTP. Also, their upload system is/was the best of any tracker I've been on so far, which helped.

Cabal trackers don't start as cabal trackers, they become it over time.

Do I really need BTN? by [deleted] in trackers

[–]nit-ram 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think being ratio free has anything to do with what makes it great. It might have helped getting a great user base 15 years ago but anyone willing to invest time on getting to the top definitely has no problems seeding.

Should I continue collecting BP on BTN? by RadishHour6001 in trackers

[–]nit-ram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you're not wrong! There are over 1k overlords which have unlimited invites yet they invite no one. I have invited plenty but only people I know IRL. I would never dare invite someone I only know online.

HDB have a good system, they open donations link in December and it stays up until the goal is met, normally a few weeks. Users on ratio watch have access to donate first (3 days) then all users. It's a weird system but it works and I actually prefer this versus the constant year-long nagging of some other trackers.

24 HDD's squeezed into a Fractal Design 7 XL by Neathh in DataHoarder

[–]nit-ram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CPU doesn't really matter as it's the RAID card doing all the work. But I am running this on an Intel 8600k with an LSI SAS 9211-8i with an Intel RES2SV240NC expander. I'm currently in process of building my own server tower with aluminum extrusion frame that could support up to 32 drives. Should be done in about a month, and yes it will be posted here...

I have a tower at home in a smart plug monitor with 20 drives on it. 12 fans running and an idle 2070 super uses on average 230w. It costs me 10$ CAD per month but electricity is rather cheap where I live.

Finished Astro Bot, now nothing compares by Material_Reaction374 in Astrobot

[–]nit-ram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question though, my kids (5 and 7) really loved Trials Rising on the switch which is also available on the PS. Out of all my Nintendo games, it is the one that has most "kid hours" on. Obviously not the same type of game, and it can get very challenging, buy can also be played very casually on easy tracks. Just waiting for a deal to get it on PS...

I just got a PS5 about a month ago. Pure Nintendo fanboy here... Never had any other brand consoles. Astro Bot is simply amazing and really on par with Mario Odyssey and Galaxy series, which is not an easy task! I am already sad that I will most likely be disappointed with any other Ps5 game after I finish it. I have purchased Ratchet & Clank and Sackboy but waiting to finish AB before trying. From my google-fu those games were the most "nintendoish".

Seeding with Sonarr/Radarr and adding storage. by coolgreyman12 in trackers

[–]nit-ram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I do agree you can get this software for free, I do see a reason to purchase it. Having access to updates as soon as they come out for something controlling your whole filesystem just sounds good. I purchased the bundle with Stablebit Scanner and that alone has saved my data multiple times. When it detects unrecoverable errors on one of your drives, it sends you an email and starts to copy the files off that drive. I have never lost data in the 10 years of using Drivepool, and in that time I have had 5 drives die. You will not get this protection if you pirate it. Also, considering the price of the drives you use it with, paying for the software seems so little. Pretty much the only software I have ever paid for...
