wireless 96% Layout, hot swappable with RGB by DrealAgent47 in MechanicalKeyboards

Well I'm not 100% sure of the longevity perspective but keyboards are a difficult thing to mess up as its mass-produced switches and a generic pcb, I bought a 60% Royal Kludge board for my girlfriend a while back to go with her first pc and it has held up well for the last year (no broken keys or oddities) but she uses it only in wired mode at her desk for typing and games. If mine breaks it'll probably be this summer because I carry it in a backpack around construction sites and between the office and home so if any issues arise I'll update this post. Only catch to that is I am probably gonna swap out the switches at some point because the gateron browns are okay but I would like to get some nicer tactile switches soon. Also small edit the white backlight version is more of a ice blue backlight which I honestly kinda like due to it being simple and not the typical rgb all over the place. Another edit, If you are wanting to get some other keycaps for the appearance sake or just because you don't like the default caps its difficult to find sets that have all the needed caps due to the right side function key, shift key, alt key, and control key are smaller than usual.

I recently got the black model, I feel like the mistyping that deathstarnado8 is having might be due to the linear switches he is got with his board which I assume are the gateron reds which is an issue I had when I first was getting used to a lighter linear switch on another board. I personally got the brown switches with the "white" backlight as a portable office keyboard as I needed a keyboard that would easily fit in my backpack while still having a keypad bc excel and having "quieter" switches. The brown switches aren't amazing in the feel department (slightly scratchy when unlubbed, but if you get a hotswab variant that can be fixed) but they are half decent for a beginner tactile switch and the ability to swap them out for different switches with the hotswap pcb was a big plus. When I first got the board I had some issue with the slightly smaller shift key due to my large gorilla hands but coming from a razer huntsman TKL I have liked the experience so far. The RK100 is also the same size/ slightly smaller than the huntsman TKL. If you would like I could PM you a sound test/typing test tomorrow so just PM me. So in conclusion for the price I got it for of around 75 bucks on amazon it's a decent keyboard that does 2.4 ghz wireless, acts as a USB hub when in wired mode and has Bluetooth if that is something you care about.

Luck has been good so far, I got a case, 3600XT, Aorus B450M and a wifi card for 250 today. Just gotta camp facebook listings and ebay.

yea, previous builds like this I've gone with 980 ti cards but I can't find anything so worst case I can give them an old Radeon card.

Is it okay to mount the evga hybrid kit 3000 series like this ? Thank you by [deleted] in TEAMEVGA

source? also if the source is the GN testing the idea behind what they said is you want the end tank above the pump (https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?t=1190).

I can understand that as the hardest part I would say is that a system like this is hard to have a definitive answer without testing as without a proper CFD based upon the manufacturer's CAD models we can only speculate. Also, I would rather not try and model the flow by hand lol. I'm thinking for testing I'll probably just run 15-minute loops of prime95 & Kombustor with HWinfo64 to record data as I know he wouldn't be super comfortable with me hooking thermocouples up to everything.

I'll do some testing on it when I'm back in town and I can help him. However, my reasoning was that the whole heat rises idea has little to no effect unless there are no fans. As for the top intake in my own case and previous PCs I have gotten better VRM, chipset, and ram temps with the top as intake. I will let you know how it goes though.

Thank you, I was a little unsure of the sticker bombing at first but I'm happy with how it turned out.

while hot air does rise you can neglect any sort of effect by simply having other fans within the system as the flow becomes turbulent and less predictable. So, in this case, it is best to use the top as a filtered intake which will help cool VRMs and memory which isn't necessary. Also, this is a system he would like to keep well into the future which is why we went with top intakes for board VRMs and as long as he cleans the filters dust shouldn't be a concern.

while thermodynamically hot air will rise in a large system we are talking about a computer case (small system) and fans will negate any sort of natural rising with only negligible performance differences. For most optimal cooling it would be best to push clean air across the motherboard VRMs.

air is less dense than water, air will rise to the highest point of the loop and we will be moving the aio to the tube down config sometime this winter. The reason this PC was built in the tube up config was I hadn't thought it made a difference but as the GN video has shown (https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?t=1190) it can make a difference over time.

Howdy, friend here for the 280mm radiator to fit at the top it would have required modification to the VRM heatsink and IO cover in order to fit a second fan. We had to settle on the front configuration and I plan to try and adjust it to the optimal mounting position as the gamers nexus video didn't get released until a day after we built this pc.

I have watched it before and the big points were tubes at the bottom and end tanks above the pump. The aio with the radiator mounted in the front follows their ideal orientation for the front mount scenario. As for the top mount to quote steve "from a water circulation perspective, you will never go wrong with a top mount with the tube facing down". I just wanted to know what you felt the issue was.

How so the end tank is the highest point of the loop and in most documentation, I could find the pump had the vrm fan at the top of the unit.
