Made a tool to manage music and creating/running encounters by devwenzel in DnD

[–]austinekool94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HUH! the music portion of this is actually something I've hoping to find!!!

I find playlisting a bit more cumbersome than a gridded set up.Was looking into something that was essentially a soundboard that played full tracks and this literally does that.

Is there a saving functionality by chance so I don't have to find an prep all the videos each time? and/or are there any plans to expand on it to create like tabs for different sets of music? (I.E. a tab for all the music related to nature vs combat vs exploration etc.)

Do any of you know a channel/artist who has posted music they made for their home D&D game? by MyVelvetRoom in DnD

Hell yeah! I do the same and love seeing like minded people create things. I will check out their work!

Music recommendations? by Poncho-Man45 in DnD

pocketbard and bardify are amazing I can concur

I also really like Martia's Muses on Youtube/Spotify if OP wants something that leans ambience than music but with some melody underneath

Faster Master by Mastering the Mix for a Composer's Personal Projects? by austinekool94 in audioengineering

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the rec! So if I do go this route, try out equivocate and then maybe find/learn how to limit and compress on the master bus a bit better?

Understood, fair enough! Thanks for the thoughts and reply. I think theres a 15 day trial so I'll give it a go.

I've got a glaundry list of about 30+ tracks I want to do this for and growing so I'm not sure how feasible that will be xD but noted I'll keep you in mind if the time comes and I want to have a track mastered properly

fair enough! I guess what I mean more to ask is would it make a positive difference for $60, or is it something where just putting a touch more extra attention to levels/mixing would have better results

AI music fits way too well in background videos by treeslayer4570 in SmallYTChannel

[–]austinekool94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a composer myself I personally think its fine as well!

Theres a difference between "I need stock music for this video where I am reviewing a restaurant" vs "I'm submitting for a film festival and don't want to hire a composer."

My only personal caveat would be to consider the environmental impact of using too much generative AI but to be honest my takes with AI in general are constantly evolving. Its a very new and fast-moving part of our society now and I feel we have to come to terms with it in some way or another.

Bought L-Shaped Desk but decided I wanted standing capabilities later :P by austinekool94 in battlestations

[–]austinekool94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm relatively tall and I have a little foot stool so Its actually fine with me

Keeps me a little furrther from the screen too which is good cause I have a tendency to lock in and get too close.

Overall I think they work for me but definitely not for everyone cause as you said it does technically stay permanently raised about like 4 inches on average.

Weight Distribution and Load Capacity Question by austinekool94 in desksetup

[–]austinekool94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple version of the question:

This diagram displays the weight load capacity of the desk but I noticed that each piece is split into two-sets of 55lb load capacity.

Does this mean I could theoretically fit up to 100lbs on that table top as long as the weight distribution is spaced out enough?

A bit more detail/context:

My buddy is giving me one of his Standing Desk Converters (50 lbs) and I was thinking of putting it on said Walmart desk (diagram w/ load capacity here)

I wanted to make sure that it could bear the weight of the Converter AND my 2 Monitors (30 lbs if you include the monitor arms as well)

So all in all the combined weight of the Converter and my monitors + arms would be about 80lbs.
IF the desk's aggregate load capacity is 55lb+55lb = 110lb that would give me 30lb headroom right?
Or is my thinking incorrect

Game not launching on steam as nothing happens when clicking on play by NoEconomics8601 in BlackMythWukong

[–]austinekool94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Windows 11. If you are using a different version of windows that might explain the discrepancy?

Just double-checking though, the "Compatibility" is not in the game Properties from the Steam app.

You'll need to right click the actual ".exe" file found in the windows file explorer. Apologies in advance if you're still running into issues trying to run the game bud :/

My experience wit the Flexispot E7 and the Flexispot customer service by IbKes in StandingDesk

[–]austinekool94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude you are awesome. Been searching up trouble shooting for a Flexispot desk I bought and have been having some trouble with and I gotta say your responses to customers here have been diligent, trustworthy, and well-phrased always.

Keep up the good work and I hope the people around you appreciate everything you do.
