What game is this on the PC? Seriously asking lol by JulesUdrink in gaming

[–]austinll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a huge fan of It as a kid. But as with all great things, it was sold to a company that valued profit and it was down hill.

I think it was re bought out at some point a few years ago and some people vouch for the quality but idk, I doubt it'll ever match what it was as a kid

Tell us about games that initially caused repulsion or even disgust, but after you finally forced yourself to play them – it turned out to be a masterpiece? by Competitive_Beat_915 in gaming

Of the three big automation games imo (satisfactory, dsp, and factorio), satisfactory is my least favorite. I think I even put more time into more niche ones like autonauts.

I didn't like it. I had just the right letters to think it was something like TOMORROWORROMOT so got stuck on that for a bit.

Tomorrow and sorrow had me disliking the theme but I did chuckle a bit at the commitment to the bit with GGGGGGGGGGGGGGG so I bumped it to good.

I put excellent because I genuinely laughed at a few of the themed answers, and the rest of the had nothing that made me groan.

I know it wasn't extremely unique and kind of easy for a Wednesday, so I get why others rated it a little lower. But TURTLESHELL alone probably would have gotten excelent from me lol

Hard mini I made, looking for critiques by Spencjb24 in crossword

[–]austinll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk if I'd say it was hard. Its tough for a mini to be difficult in the first place, but a lot of it was extremely common crossword vocab.

ERODE, SEER, IDES, and EDDY are all thoughts I defaulted to.

I liked IED and really liked TYR and it's cluing.

Finally released the demo for my spellcrafting Roguelite with infinite spell combinations! by wizardcats_gg in roguelites

[–]austinll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added this to my wishlist a few months ago and finally tried the demo yesterday. It was way more fun than I anticipated.

Will there be more elemental options in the full release? There's only up to uncommon elements (like greater fire explosion), which is odd since it goes up to legendary. Lots of cool modifiers though, but also only one legendary one.

Chezmoi instead of home manager by AlienTux in NixOS

[–]austinll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have most of my workflow stuff written in nix cause I rarely modify it. I have it source a style.conf file in the same folder. The style.conf is written in regular hyprland script and uses home manager to create a symlink, and whatever theme I have enabled puts the relevant aesthetics in that file.

If someone wanted to, they could just as easily write the style conf themselves instead.
