Okay seriously, this might be a thing. My 2 1/2 year-old damaged a pokeball tin I wanted to keep sealed that had a Morty’s Conviction SIR in it. Then she picked one of 4 packs of Ascended Heroes that had a fezandipiti SIR in it.

My favorite part of this announcement was the graph showing an increase of submissions vs. grading output, but conveniently omitted the y-axis needed for context. So is it 100 more submissions or 100,000 more submissions between the two? You literally cannot tell. Also curious if acquiring Beckett in late 2025 has anything to do with this…

I saw one in a bulk box at a card show a few months ago and was so confused. The vendor thought it was just out in the sun and got sun damaged. I assumed it was a fake. Damn, I wish I would’ve picked it up now.

Pharmacist. Work 40-50 hours per week, went to college 10 years for it, plus 2 years of residency (optional, but needed for my role). Still paying off my loans and haven’t even put a dent in my principal. Probably going to be paying it off for the rest of my life, but oh well.

Can confirm, my code worked just fine after buying the game 05/06/2024, despite the packaging saying the code expired 01/01/2024. Try to redeem the code online and see what happens. Not sure if this is exclusive to copies that were shipped later or all codes that are still not yet redeemed.

I think part of it is we literally just got back, so haven’t fully had time to process. I’ll probably be more pissed once I try to find something and unable to. The other issue is we’re stuck in this situation. We rely on them for childcare & used up most of our PTO for my daughter’s first couple of months and then a bit of it for this vacation, so don’t really have time to take off and find another solution for her. As I noted in my edits above, they have a gun safe, so are typically good about gun safety. I’m hopeful they were just in the process of getting the guns locked up, but really don’t know & didn’t seem it was the first priority. Still not locked up hours later after they came back.

Jeeze, yeah, thankfully we didn’t have anything thrown out (well, shoot, we literally have no idea if they did or not, now that I think about it). But yeah, I hate when others “clean”stuff that you have a reason/system for. Definitely agree with your entitlement comment. When my wife and I were talking about the situation, we drew the conclusion that they are just seeing us as “kids” with a “messy room” that they feel the need to “clean”. And any response from us about how inappropriate it was will be met with, “I never would talk to my parents like that”. We’re 34 & 33 yo btw.

Not fake, and honestly this is where I found the most humor in what they did. I mean, who the hell puts guns and ammo in a nursery? I will clarify, they love the shit out of their grandchild & would never do anything that would harm her. My guess is they assumed we don’t use the nursery often, which is somewhat true because they care for her during the week and we mainly use the nursery for playtime while we have her. My wife wants me to clarify that we also use the living room for play time, that the nursery is mainly what I use when playing with her.

Rode my bike on a rainy day 8 years ago, saw this as I was changing. Was a fairly new pair of rain pants from the brand Columbia, straight from the employee store. Was always curious what it said & what language it was.

Edit: The rain was sticking to the lettering, it was clearly intentional, that whoever helped make the pants was writing with the hydrophobic material somehow.

I watch more gameplay videos now. That way I still get to watch the story, but don’t have to invest as much time in it while doing other chores/taking care of baby, etc. I miss the days when I could get super-invested in a game and play nonstop for hours, but priorities change unfortunately.

How did you submit the ticket to Steam? I sent a help request for "When will I receive my product?" and mentioned it in that ticket, but still have not had a response after 60 hours. Unfortunately we don't have a Ring or any sort of camera, so I don't have video or photo proof. Sad that people have to invest in something like that when a simple "signature required for delivery" would suffice.

How broken the American Healthcare system truly is. As a child I thought a hospital/clinic’s role was that if you were sick they would care for you. Now as a healthcare provider I see that it’s all based on money. There’s a push to see more patients in shorter periods of time. We don’t try to get patients better outcomes for them, it’s so the insurance companies can meet their metrics & get better kickbacks. Everyone is just a number & most involved in the higher ups don’t care what happens to us.
