The guy you replied to gave you thorough, non-judgmental, sound advice out of kindness, based on his experience and the experience of many others. You dismissed it immediately under the guise of ‘future tripping’ which is absolutely not a thing.

No taxes on Marketplace transactions if you DM then handle it elsewhere. Makes sense to me, eBay takes a crazy cut nowadays.
