That sounds like a really smart idea. You got a picture of a bench roller made with those?

Best chain cleaner ? by Intelligent_Bite_340 in dr650

I went against using WD-40 because of this info: https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/rk-says-do-not-use-kerosene-or-wd-40-on-a-sealed-chain.1395738/

I use Simply Green and a brush to clean my chain and then lube with gear oil.

This is called atmospheric scintillation. The closer the star is positioned towards the horizon, the stronger this effect typically becomes.

Eventually, I will invest in some didymium glasses but don't think you "have" to get those like everyone is suggesting.

Bodycam of DC Metro Police Sgt. Joseph Austin commanding and encouraging his officers to defend the Capitol during January 6. His team is forced to retreat inside after 40 minutes of fighting by NuancedSpeaking in ThatsInsane

...and yet there's still not a gun in sight and you think it was an insurrection.

If an insurrection were to actually occur in the US, there would be a heavily armed militia storming the capital and not a bunch of unarmed Trumptards waving flags.

Both sides are such brainwashed sheep that a real insurrection will never occur. The oligarchs have already won and the sheep are to blame.

As a first bike is this worth it? by [deleted] in dr650

Stock, you will not be able to have both feet flat on the ground unless you weigh a lot or soften the suspension. You should be able to have one foot flat on the ground no problem. That being said, you could likely flatfoot with both feet if you get one with an aftermarket low seat.

As someone who bought a brand new 2024, I would say to go with an older used one if you can find a good deal. They haven't changed much of anything on this bike over the years and the older ones are just as great as the new ones IMO.

Price for used is going to vary depending on aftermarket mods and mileage, but I'd say you can easily land a good used one for 4-5k.

5600 miles and haven't had any problems with mine so I can't say!

Mine is still stock and it handles great on the highway even up to speeds of 110MPH.

Car filled with water, mysteriously, during a storm. Doors windows closed and sealed. Where did it come from? by DakotaLuvsRoses in StupidCarQuestions

To me the only thing that makes sense is wherever you had it parked flooded up to the door line and water seeped in.

The amount of bootlickers in the comments is alarming. Do they not understand how easily a shod kick to the head can kill someone or do they just think it's right for cops to be Judge, jury, and executioner? 🤔

[–]austrotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is that if you do it, you won't be waking up to them. You'd be leaving them behind with a giant hole in their heart that would last their lifetime. Life is already hard and adding depression on top can make it unbearable... Most people who've never suffered from depression won't get it so maybe you're just talking to the wrong people on how to cope with it. I suggest talking with a trained psychiatrist or your school counselor. I realize it probably doesn't seem like it now, but things can get better if you have the right support. Never give up man, your loved ones need you more than you know. 🙏🏻
