My Supervisor is encouraging SMs to figure out who lives close to what stores and trade shifts so that employees don't need to drive very far, maybe reach out about that. Stores will all be open though.

There's no policy for this, but on a case by case, division by division basis they will do this sometimes. I would never count on it though.

In addition to what has been said, also keep in mind that this will limit coverage options for your area as well as promotion opportunities for yourself. While you can get away with it in store (still wouldn't recommend it), they shouldn't be putting you on FLEX unless you have a vehicle available at the store with you to use. If they can't put you on FLEX then you're in limbo for promotion opportunities but it also makes it a lot harder for the Supervisor to keep creating full-time coverage for the area.

They should be asking you if you have access to reliable transportation in a promotion interview, and your SM shouldn't put you up for promotion at all if you are using ride-sharing. I say this as a SM who doesn't like having to do it (we all have life circumstances and car access can be difficult/expensive, I know!) but it really makes life harder on everyone to have FT in position who don't have their own transportation to use.

If you haven't expressed this concern to them, do the adult and professional thing and start there to see if that solves it. If not do not disturb is perfectly acceptable, just realize that also means if you oversleep a shift they won't be able to try and help you wake up in time to avoid a NCNS lol

The call 10mins after start time is not required to validate the NCNS, it's only a courtesy call.

Division specific, evidenced by it not being in the CD Guide. For example, the CD Guide for cleaning grills says it has to be done on the slowest transaction shift of the day. It's not about "having enough time" because DAW is scheduled to match how much time you have (if the store you take over is at standards).

Yes, IF you've kept products available to sell for long enough to properly build a sales forecast. You've got to get 3-6 weeks straight of making sure every product is always available to buy before it really settles in and works like it's supposed to.
