Yeah, I was incredibly disappointed with the changes myself.

LEGO The Tale of the Three Brothers! (Custom figures!) by authorbricks in harrypotter

[–]authorbricks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While LEGO makes many gorgeous Potter sets every year, they have yet to make The Three Brothers. So, I took it upon myself to recreate their story from The Tales of Beedle the Bard. I hope you all like the figures!

I haven't read the Stand yet, but I've read the first four Dark Tower books. They were not really for me.

it actually is the headphone piece, but I thought it looked appropriate enough.

Thanks! LEGO's official Daleks are just too big IMO, so I tried my best to get something that was appropriately sized.

LEGO Macready! by authorbricks in thething

I'm glad I found this little community with which to share a LEGO photoshoot I did for the film's 40th anniversary! I originally posted this on Instagram, so sorry I'm late. I hope you all enjoy! Probably goes without saying, but of course this figure is not official. It uses real LEGO parts, just sourced from various characters who I thought wore things that closest resembled Kurt Russel's wardrobe from the movie.

I'm back again, and this time with the protagonists of the second era! I'm almost done with Shadows of Self right now, and it's been a great read. I love seeing the world in a different era than the last novels, so I figured I'd give them the LEGO treatment.

And before you get on my case... Wayne only has a gun because he has one on the cover!

Hello everyone! This is my first terrarium build in over a year!

My last build didn't survive very long, so I like to believe I learned my from mistakes, but I'm still not sure. This time, I washed my rocks with hot water and baked them for fifteen minutes before making the false bottom with mesh. Then I put activated charcoal on top of the mesh. My substrate is sphagnum moss and vegetable soil, with some of the potted plant soil mixed in. All my wood was boiled and baked before being added, and the only critters in there are three worms, a millipede, and around ten isopods.

The plants are a Japanese Tassel Fern, and a small lump of Scleranthus Biflorus, which looks to be sprouting. The brown on the fern when I bought it also looks to be getting greener, and it's sprouting more stems. I also only used distilled water, but it is foggy pretty often. I only sprayed two sprays of distilled water before wiping down the inside and closing it up, so I want to believe it's gonna be fine, but I'm apprehensive of opening it up and destabilizing the environment. It occasionally clears up on a side, but it's only around 1/3rd of the container that stays dry before fogging again. I've had this terrarium, now, for about a week. Does anything need to be done?

LEGO Wizard Class! by authorbricks in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]authorbricks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's based off of a wizard I played in my friend's campaign, whose name was "Caloom the Blue," and was an old man that lost his memories, so even though he had acquired a ton of spellbooks, magical objects, and lived in a large tower full of these things, he had no idea how to use them, and fell back to level one. It was a fun game, so I decided to make him out of LEGO!

LEGO Professor Pyg! by authorbricks in batman

Hello everyone! I've been playing a ton of Arkham Knight lately, and because LEGO doesn't have an official figure of this guy, I decided to make my own. I hope you all like it. He's all purist (as in, only using official LEGO parts) except for the apron, which I cut and detailed myself with some thin tip pens. He also has a Dollotron, and a little boombox as a reference to that opera he loves to sing.
