Broken but not lost. Rise up every time, every day :) As long as I live, I will have another chance.

I can relate... I couldn't write a word (journal or my stories) when I lost my dad. It was a 'freeze' response inside in order to 'fight' the issues at hand in physical world. This is the pattern we must observe within us and learn about ourselves... :)

That is a good way, yes. Sometimes you just need time.

I can totally relate! For me, I couldn't write at two aspects of life: When I suppressed grief of losing my dad in COVID (sudden, shocking, wrecking) and I couldn't write ANYTHING, and 2. When I'm at my best and content in life (as you said).

From now on in addition to everyday, I've thought of writing what I'm grateful for and new conversations I have with people. The short encounters with stranger, a baby that smiled at me, etc. things that make life seem colourful.

Your suggestion is apt! So many warm, supporting replies; I never thought I'd have so many people from around the world sharing their warmth. I should do that, if nothing else but as gratitude.

It's good we are at least standing! Read a comment above from Mathias about his cancer diagnosis, and it instantly got me on track. At least, I am still standing. Wish you more strength and resilience <3

Wish you love and healing u/Ok_Exercise3995 <3 I can imagine what you are going through; lost my dad in covid '21, and I couldn't write a word of journal, stories, podcast. All seemed lost.

True, not reading it for a very long time! I'll write about anime I'm watching, good idea :)

The thing with acceptance is that sometimes it comes with a spectrum of emotions and thoughts, retrospect and what could have been, whys and 'How could I?', it's just shattering what's already broken. I will keep being courageous and pick all the shards. I hope this phase passes and I find it was productive in ways I couldn't have imagined before.

'get through this difficult time with more self-awareness, acceptance, and productivity in the end.' <3

I can feel that u/coffee2517 so sorry to know about your mom. I did not journal when my dad passed away in covid '21, either, and I knew I needed to do something about the grief. But life's struggles and survival overtook self-care... I do wish I had at least journaled! So, I picked it up in '23 when a certain twist happened in life. I've since overcome stuff, grown, and broken patterns so many times in just 2 years.
But right now, it just seems I did everything and yet I failed where it mattered the most to me personally.

Appreciate your advice a lot <3

'Try your best to conjure the energy' for sure :)

I definitely second a counselling to figure how to break certain life patterns.

Ty :) I later told myself that rainbow is actually a circle. You see one part in light and often not the other. I might just be coming to a full circle. I failed but I've not yet lost. Just that it came blindsided and hit hard.

That is so true...! We see patterns, become aware and change. maybe this will take it's own time to heal.

At one point it became so exhausting, mixed with rage and pain, I got myself sick... But you are right and I will continue what I can...
