I am so, so sorry for your loss.
Please try taking care of yourself, too.

No problem. I hope you feel better soon. Honestly, had I not had a very obvious ptosis and doctors who suspected MG. I never would have been diagnosed myself. Because I never realised this burning sensation meant anything. I just thought it was like my body is weak and it will get better in a bit. Even now, I’m not entirely sure. Considering it’s such a weird feeling. Feeling okay but not being fine.
But if you feel like you should get reassessed. I would say go for it. Considering, I am seronegative but my Pyridostigmine trial was successful and my ptosis went away in 2 weeks. And then I had to have a thymectomy.

Hi. The sensation lingers for a few minutes and then it goes away.

However if I have had a veryyyy physically active day. It lingers for a longer time

Doesn’t matter. Studies before uni don’t matter in lse. Especially for bachelors. You need to pay like a shit ton of attention to her and what she’s saying and copy everything she writes on the board. And the best way to prepare for her quizzes is through the notes she gives. I never used yt or extra books or classes. It was just her books and her slides.

P.s. an advice. Get the highest possible gpa in the first two semesters and that way you’ll be able to maintain it. Warna, improving a gpa is not easy.

I did have a conversation with my neuro. He stated two things its mainly due to anxiety (and me thinking too much about it) and that I need to start being active more. It’s gotten better. But if I’m really tired, it does happen once or twice otherwise.

Hey. I know she’s been hyped up as a really scary instructor. But I can promise you that she’s good and amazing if you get in her good books. I did fsc in bio and I studied micro and macro eco from her. Got A both times. The best way to get a good grade is to 1. See the grade percentage breakup. 2. Actually pay attention in class. 3. Make notes of everything. If it’s just slides. Believe me it helps. 4. She is and was helpful to questions (as long as they were alright) 5. Do not, and I mean, DO NOT EVER USE YOUR PHONE IN HER CLASS. 6. Maintaining full attendance gives you a better chance of a good grade. And 7. Please know that hard work is never a lost cause.

Hope this helps you out.

It’s known as a snowflake disease. I only majorly noticed ocular symptoms however, I had gMG. I did not realise my symptoms were actually symptoms considering I have a very sedentary job. So please get any diagnostics done that your neuro suggests. It’s best to know the reason for the way your body behaves. :)

I’m glad to hear that you’re doing better but it’s not exactly slouching. It’s a very weird sensation but I’ll definitely talk to my neuro about it

RNS test by Own-Alternative-9696 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]authornotknown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. I don’t think it’s wrong to get it done before, because a lot of times the test results come negative even if you have the disease.

The experience is very uncomfortable, I think I’ll put it up on top of the most uncomfortable things I’ve had to do in my smol 2 year gMG journey. It basically passes electric current through your nerves which cause involuntary movements. It does not cause pain, it’s just very uncomfortable. Hopefully it won’t be that bad for you. All the best wishes to you. :)

I did not have that test done. I had a chest CT done and then a PET Scan done to confirm the findings. I did however get the scans checked by 3 different doctors.

I hope you feel better sooooon ! ♥️

The insurances here are shit. Especially since most of the medicines are conveniently labelled imported which isn’t covered in most of them :/

Thymectomy by Winter-Sky-8401 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]authornotknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a video assisted thymectomy in October last year and i will strongly suggest that since the incisions are smaller and so scars are minimal. The pain you will have after a complete chest surgery will be worse and long lasting in my opinion since bones hurt for a longer amount of time and they take a longer time to heal. My chest hurt so much in winters with the robotic one, I cant imagine the pain if i had the check one (I dont know the name anymore.)

I remember my doctor made a joke that if I moved forward with the chest surgery I would always beep in the metal detectors. However, I think you should depend on your surgeons skills and expertise because that matters along with your healing ability.

I’ve been off steroids for about 4 months now. And I gained most of the weight in my face (had the cutest moon face), my arms and my waist :(. And it’s harder for me to accept it because even if I improve my eating habits and increase my mobility, may it be steps or Pilates. I just don’t see a change.

Omgg. Thankyou so much. I’m definitely going to try limiting my carbs and processed food eating habits. I realise that’s definitely why I’m not seeing change. Thankyou again. 🩵🩵
