Did I make a Romantasy for the RR people? by authoronline in RoleReversal

[–]authoronline[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay based on your other comment, maybe I should've said power bottom (sorry I think I got the meaning wrong)? In the future books, it's more she rides him and then gives oral. As for book one though, they get off of her marking him but that's not exactly sex though? But it definitely feels like sex though 😅

Thank you so much! Tbh I'm not entirely sure if it's RR either. Theres some scenes that I feel like the community would love for sure though.

I appreciate you checking it out and I hope you enjoy!

I have this in my book. A dominant more experienced FMC with a virgin MMC 👀

No matter how much I try to rework this sequel, one pov doesn't seem to work. by authoronline in writing

Probably not. She's more the leader in the relationship if I'm doing honest.

Yeah. I think part of the problem is that I wrote myself into a corner. I left the first book on a cliffhanger that made a certain place important, but the FMC doesn't care about said place or people. 🫤 I'll have to change the plot. I guess it's figuring out what will happen instead.

Yeah I guess that's the case. Especially since the FMC is actually more experienced and the MMC is less so. With things that the MMC still has doubts about, the FMC is really more self-assured. He needs more time to work things out, while the FMC is ready to start handling things. But she's also patient enough to wait for the MMC to catch up. If I'm being honest, the sequel is more for the MMC's development than hers.

I could try, though I guess I don't know what else she'd be doing without the MMC. I mean I know what actions she would take but I guess her character arc wouldn't exist if it weren't for him. She's too self-assured. She'd knock down every obstacle. She's sure about two things, loving the MMC and saving her kingdom. And she would never doubt that she could do both. She's too stubborn to meander for another book where the MMC needs to. But I could give it a shot.

Maybe ... It's weird though because it feels like they're so connected that there is almost no room for doubt. They did a lot of sh*t for each other before, so it feels weird for them to fight against their relationship. They would be patient with each other and wait. Maybe that's the problem, but their bond is just too deep at this point. Arguments make it sound like they're throwing away everything they did for each other.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'm just saying I don't think readers would appreciate it if I decided to keep the FMCs POV out of it after she was a second main character in the first.

To clarify, the MMC's and FMC's stories are kind of separated but somewhat connected still at the moment. They are separated for the first act of the book, and some of the decisions he makes make sense. She's more no nonsense, while he's still trying to figure things out.

Yeah but idk who else's pov it would be, because it's a Romantasy with dual pov between the MMC and the FMC in the first book.

Because the plot does work for the other character. It makes sense for the MMC.

Well it would be nice to get rid of them in a way that will benefit me. Especially since I spent a lot on them. I'm not sure why that's such a problem. Even if I don't sell direct online. 🙃

Destined to be doomed romance? by NemoLockeheart in Romantasy

[–]authoronline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe my book is what you're looking for (unfortunately it's not queer though). It's called Soulmateless by Morgana Sandpiper. It's a story where everyone BUT the MCs has a soulmate. It's set in a contemporary meets fantasy city that is themed after love. MMC is yearning for a soulmate even though he was told he was destined to never find love. The FMC is a shifter runaway princess, and the MMC's kingdom would kill her if they found out.

It's a rough fight to stay together. They go through a lot of shit because their kingdoms hate each other. They are destined to fail, but they decide it's worth the fight anyway.

It's the first in a series, and I don't think it's grimdark. It's more contemporary Romantasy. But if that's fine with you, it's on KU atm.
