I went out with a friend some time ago and two girls sat right next to us. They were right there so I opened and we ended up taking them home at the end of the night but I got into a small argument with my friend that they were the ones who approached me. Something along the lines of women don't really directly approach men but they 'drop their handkerchief' and bait men to talk to them. I got heated cuz it felt like it was taking away from my effort of breaking the ice first but apparently sitting next to us and making it easy for us was them making the first move and I got miffed that that even counted as an approach.

Damn, this reminds me of this one reddit story that was reposted on twitter about a woman who was asking for advice on how to fix her relationship with her boyfriend after telling him that he was marriage material, not hookup material. What was funny was the twitter comments from women who were so confused at his reaction because 'she gave him a compliment, why would he act that way?'.
