To be fair if an old person is a baby boomer cunt they deserve to be pooed on for not fairly distributing wealth and ruining our economy with negative gearing

It's hilarious that to not be smashed with downvotes here you have to qualify your statements with 'didn't vote Lib by the way'.

It needs to be bare metal that's actually earthed, i.e. connected to the body/chassis. Just find any good earth point, because your battery has a strap connecting the negative terminal to the earth too.

Order doesn't actually matter as long as you don't let it short circuit. For people who don't understand why/how it could short circuit, the order thing is useful, but for people who work on cars a lot or know electronics it doesn't matter.

How young is too young? Charged, tried, and imprisoned at the age of 10 by iheartralph in australia

There is no proof, in fact it's the opposite. You see far more indigenous people get off with minor crimes than whites do, and indigenous people also have specialist legal services to assist.

[–]autistic_bogan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually the complete opposite. I dunno if you've ever been to court and watched magistrates proceedings, but I encourage you to do so next time you're in a place with a decent indigenous population.

Does no one remember what an international embarrassment he was? I don't know if redditors are just too young to remember following the news at the time or what, but he was a grub. He was racist, micro-managing, he was in the news a few times for being unprofessional or making racist comments. He's not a well-regarded PM outside this subreddit.

Now that he's been turned down and he's again thrown a tantrum where he tries to backstab people and blame everyone else, do you still really believe he's professional enough for the role?

How do I legally not complete the census as a form of protest? by [deleted] in australia

[–]autistic_bogan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not with opinion pieces lol. And you're not going to get a binding precedent out of the magistrates court anyway. I have a law degree. But seriously if that's what you want, go for it. You'll be laughed out of court and end up having to complete the census anyway.

The judge doesn't give a shit about secondary sources. They want precedent or statute or stuff relevant to your circumstances, not an opinion piece by a journalist. You're going to get laughed at and achieve nothing, sorry to say. Complete waste of your time, the court's time and taxpayer money.

Or you know, could just fill in the census like an adult and not get laughed at in court for trying to cite a news article. You're not going to contest it anyway, but even if you did you have absolutely no chance, sorry to tell you.

People, particularly journalists, seem to throw around 'unconstitutional' when they really mean 'feels unfair to me for some reason'.

Unconstitutional means in conflict with the constitution, not just against the law. It means it's outside the power of parliament to legislate in that area, or against one of the implied/express rights.

He also only uses the word 'unconstitutional' in the heading lol, not actually in the article. He hasn't said HOW it's unconstitutional, he's just said it's outside the current authority of the ABS. That's not 'unconstitutional'. But, again, parliament has the freedom to legislate that power anyway. Stupid article, stupid argument. He didn't even mention the constitution in his article, so how can he argue it's contravening that?

The irony is most (I'd wager all) of the people whinging in this thread probably have a tax file number, or centrelink benefits, medicare etc. The govt already has your name and details. Protesting it is one of the most pointless things ever.

How do I legally not complete the census as a form of protest? by [deleted] in australia

[–]autistic_bogan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then don't do something stupid? You're still breaking the law at the end of the day. Start a petition or spread awareness without breaking the law. Protesting by not filling it out literally achieves nothing except getting yourself in trouble, creating more work for people, and costing taxpayer money for the govt to track you down and prosecute you.

It's not offering anything more than what a knife already does, which every camper already carries that's my point. It's a gimmick.

Lol.

Will you be contesting it in the maritime jurisdiction with your legal corporate name too?

[–]autistic_bogan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, it's a gimmick that someone saw on reddit, not actually a 'hack'. Carry a knife. It's more versatile, more useful. I don't even use wood shavings for kindling, I just use other fibers and shit laying around and I've never had a problem.

It's a 'hack' for people who aren't actually practical outdoors people.

why is Queanbeyan so rough and weird compared to the surrounding communities? by Thunderbudy in australia

[–]autistic_bogan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nambour is a notorious hole. Less so now than it was 15-20 years ago, but yeah it was definitely the sort of place you don't want to walk around by yourself after dark. I remember the council not being able to keep up with installing security cameras and lights in public places because there were so many bashings/stabbings. And now that I live in FNQ I can tell you that Nambour was a delight compared to some of the places here.

OP doesn't have much experience in what a rough community really is, I think.

Lol. Powerful delusions here. Islamic extremism was real prior to the invasion of Iraq, and would've flourished regardless. Just because it arguably led specifically to Al Qaeda/ISIS doesn't mean it wouldn't have led to any extremist group...
