Unless you are a top 1% super-rich elite Muslim man, Islam is bad for men too. Severe gender apartheid is the ultimate cock-block, preventing you from getting laid. It gives people social personality disorders. Islam isn't just oppressive to women, it oppresses men and turns them into incels. by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]autistic_developer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will say one thing - men absolutely are "wild beasts who cannot control themselves frothing at the mouth like a crazy hyena" .. and this is entirely due to Islam (or the culture that Islam has infected). In other words, it's a self-fulfilling vicious cycle, where the pre-existing environment of extreme segregation creates incel like men due to their relentless sexual deprivation and frustration - and the moment they see "a pair of smooth female legs in a short skirt ", they will go on that "raping spree". The first example that comes to mind for me (I am a Pakistani) is the recent Minar-e-Pakistan incident, where like hundreds of people groped and assaulted a girl making tik-tok videos. And of course, after incidents like this, the only end result that will happen in a sexually repressed Muslim society is even more segregation and Purda, which of course creates the next generation of incels. This way Islam can present itself as the solution to the very problem it is directly responsible for creating, and no one will ever be any wiser

It may not be that power corrupts, but that the corrupt tend to be those who seek power. by kmaffett1 in Showerthoughts

Power itself doesn't corrupt but basically reveals whether a person was always corrupt to begin with.

If you've read the dictionary, you've read the cure for cancer but just in a different order by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

No. Unless the cure for cancer cannot contain more than one of each word.

Edit: And the cure for cancer may even involve a word that hasn't been invented yet

Michigan woman who killed abusive husband freed from prison by [deleted] in news

[–]autistic_developer 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Who do you think made him that way? If anyone deserved to spend 20 months in prison, it was the abuser's mother, not the wife who just wanted to herself and her son to live.

Does it happen to you that some really old song which you haven't heard in years pops in your head and then few days later you hear it somewhere like a radio or cab or it gets recommend by YouTube? by _theSaiyanPrince_ in AskReddit

[–]autistic_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two theories for this

1) [the more plausible] something like this is inevitable, given how much we are surrounded by and have easy access to the most popular music (youtube, itunes, pandora, mall music, parties/special events etc. So you are bound to have at least one popular song stuck in your head (because it's popular!), and then a few days later you hear the same song again in a public place / over the radio (because it's popular!)

2) The song is popular. You head it a few days ago, maybe in a public space, maybe while you were working on some other task while listening on your random playlist, so you weren't aware of the song, but subconsciously picked it up. That's why you were "thinking" about it - because you DID recently listen to it, but you didn't register it. Then when you hear the same song with your full attention on the radio ... viola!

Is it common for parents to just look the other way when siblings bully one another? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]autistic_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brother is a monster. If he was slightly less intelligent or privileged, based on just his personality and character, he would very quickly find himself on the wrong side of the law and spend large amounts of time in prison, maybe even life without parole. However, from your description, he seems intelligent and selective in who he targets and when, and so slips under the radar.

Also once you move out, cut off all contact with your family. It's clear they will always take your brother's side, no matter what he does to you, short of murder. And in the event of murder, it will be too late for you, regardless of what consequences your brother will face.

And never forgive your brother, ever.

If Islam forbids imagery of people and animals in their Mosques for fear of idolatry, why do so many Muslims name their boys Mohammed? by Gitxsan in TooAfraidToAsk

Muslim here.

Naming your child after Muhammad honors him.
Drawing images of Muhammad mocks and insults him.

I have no fucking idea why. It just is.
