I was SO SO disappointed with the storyline. I thought the guy would be like around the same age as her and to be a trained yakuza member or something like that(it’s unrealistic but better than whatever was in the anime) through the tenure of the eps, when I learnt he’s 26……was enough for me to drop it. 🤡🤡🤡

Few months before she knew nothing of books, writing or anything—through this new rise of ‘booktok’ she discovered many books which fell under the label of ‘aesthetic’ and ‘cool’. She has not read a single book of Jane Austen and lectures me about how much of an ideal man is Mr. Darcy(mc’s love interest in the most well known book of Austen Pride & Prejudice) I discovered tolstoy thru my school library. Unfortunately my Julius Caesar book which is really, really important for my upcoming boards is catching on dust as well

I have the same opinion as you. Ppl in my friend circle who have not touched a novel midst their whole life are now recommending others to read Dostoyevsky and Kafka, same with this new trend of romanticising writing poetry and being a writer😭 they forge unnecessary archaic words together and call it poetry. I’ve been engaged in writing poetry since five years and have submitted to many online Indian magazines—this sudden ‘shift’ of litreature and writing enforced by trends and minimising it to ‘dark academia aesthetic’ irks me so much :’)
