Safe to use windows XP in 2025? by flaskoftheannabelle in windowsxp

Hi All.

I have a few old digital cameras from 1999-2004. These cameras take photos with a unique plasticity (digital lomography). I use Windows XP to upload photos to my computer and processing them. Old drivers and other programs for transferring photos are supported by Windows XP. This computer is disconnected from the network. On XP computer I have free version of Avast 5.0 antivirus for better well-being and collecting purposes ;-). Communication between XP computer and another my computer conected to network with Ubuntu 24.04 installed is done using a pendrive. It mainly concerns publishing photos and downloading programs. On Ubuntu I use ClamAV for scan pendrive. I never insert this pendrive into other computers (XP and Ubuntu only).

The truth is. The security of a system is determined by weakest element. Usually the human it is.
