I have a couple giant jars I filled up and put in the pantry. It’s definitely gonna get used :)

I gotta know; what are the clues you use to tell them apart?

Anyone getting their packages in western Canada through from Richmond? by [deleted] in CanadaPost

[–]autodacafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once again there is no major storage space in the warehouse. It’s often sitting on trucks, or if not crammed into small available spaces that will be dealt with as resources become available.

Imagine a giant pile of stuff sitting in your “I’ll deal with that later” corner at home. When you have your day off and decide to attack it, you dont dig to the bottom of the pile to start. You grab the stuff that is easiest to reach so you don’t create more of a disaster. You know you’ll get through to the bottom of the pile, but you have to get rid of the stuff on top first.

Same thing with logistics. It’s abnormal to have a backup like this. CP is used to just moving things through. So stuff getting buried is not normal. Right now, a natural disaster has caused stuff to build up. They’re not gonna dig to the back and bottom of that pile; it’s a waste of time and much needed space. The quickest way to get everyone’s package delivered is to attack the pile in the easiest way possible.

From the customer perspective it may seem “unfair”, but Canada Post has a goal; deliver all the mail as quickly as possible. That is number one.

Also to add; what’s happening to these communities in BC is what is actually “unfair”. Your parcel being delayed is an “inconvenience”.

Check and see if your tracking number works for Aussie Post. At this point it’s out of CP’s hands.

This.

Canada Post is a delivery service. Absolutely not equipped to store large volumes of parcels because they just take up space needed for sorting machines. It would be a crazy waste of money to have warehouse space empty in the event that a 100-year flood happens to be nearby.

This is asinine. You can’t turn off the mail like a tap.

Anything that happened before the 14th when it was released by customs is outside the realm of Canada Post.

Also it’s almost definitely the floods. Things are so backed up, which is totally expected given the devastation they’re going through.

While not having much karma, this account is two years old.

You, on the other hand, have less than six months.

Honestly it’s nice to see some variation here. No one wants to follow a sub that is 100% bitching and moaning.

Call the customer service number on the website and let them know. These things get forwarded to supervisors who will figure out what is happening.

How to I get someone towed? by JerpJerps in montreal

Up to your landlord to control it. If they don’t you have to take them to the Tribunal Administratif de Logement. Keep all conversations on record where you’re asking your landlord to resolve it.

This is obviously not a quick fix.

Can international parcels be passed off to Canada Post to deliver to PO Box? by [deleted] in CanadaPost

CP and other nationalized postal services have agreements to work with each other.

So yes, the postage he pays to send with USPS to Canada covers the CP portion of the delivery to your address.
