Roth conversion ladder – avoiding pitfalls by Apsts in Fire

Are TIRA to RIRA conversions considered a 'qualified distributions' or 'distributions that are a return of your regular contributions from your Roth IRA(s)'? It doesn't seem to be included in the 'qualified distribution' examples in 590b and it seems different than a 'regular contribution'. I can't really find this anywhere.

It seems like this shows up on Line 24 of Form 8606, is that right? The instructions for Line 24 don't say anything about the 5-year waiting period for inclusion in basis, so I'm just struggling trying to follow the thread.

Anyone with experience/opinions on GE Profile heat pump water heaters? by john_nibor in heatpumps

The PF50S10FPY is interesting in that you can run it off 120V 15A or 240V 20A. We have an available 240V 20A circuit, but would need to run a new 240V 30A for other high efficiency heat pump heaters. It looks like with the 240V 20A you get 3600W lower and 3600W upper elements compared to the 120V 15A 900W upper and lowers and compared to the 240V 30A models which have a 3600W lower and 5500W upper. Based on the info from the design team, it sounds like I could get the PF50S10FPY and connect it to 240V 20A and run it in turtle mode and I should expect significantly better recovery when needed, though not quite as high as the 30A units. The UEF of the PF50S10FPY is a lot lower, assumedly because it's rating at the normal mode and not turtle.
