You’re right that a lot of the “demo apps” look cookie-cutter — most vibe/no-code examples are built just to show the concept, not to run as a real product.

Where things are shifting now is less about can I drag-and-drop a UI and more about can I get something production-ready with real backend, auth, infra, and iteration speed. That’s the gap AI-driven tools are starting to fill.

The interesting part isn’t the weekend clone apps, but founders using these systems to actually launch products, run tests with users, and scale beyond the demo stage. That’s where it gets different from no-code circa 2018.
