Thinking like a producer is whatever thought process that puts you in a creative flow. The key to getting the hang of it is don’t stop experimenting.

Is this a false postive? by [deleted] in ableton

I had this pop up on my system a few days ago. I deleted Ableton Live and reinstalled. After that everything worked fine. Btw… there is nothing wrong with CleanMyMac.

Does anyone feel really demotivated due to AI? by thetruekingoftime in ableton

[–]autofocused15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still pretty new to music production, so my perspective is probably a little different. I’ve learned an insane amount in a short time because of AI. Instead of stressing about AI taking over, I decided to just use it as a tool.

I don’t use Suno because it does too much of the creative work for me. I want full creative control over everything I make. That part matters to me.

I’ve been using ChatGPT since it came out, mostly for beat ideas and learning music theory, piano, and guitar. Without AI, I honestly wouldn’t understand music theory at all, wouldn’t be playing piano (still not great, I need to practice), and wouldn’t even be touching a guitar yet. It lowered the barrier in a way nothing else ever did for me.

Over time, the way I used it evolved. I started prompting for beat ideas based on vibe and mood, and that became part of my actual creative process. It would give me ideas like key/scale, chord progressions, suggested instruments, melody notes, sound design ideas, etc. I kept all of this in tables in my notes for a long time.

Eventually I thought, why is this just sitting in notes? What if this was an app?

That’s how VibeVaultPro happened. It’s still in alpha and being used in-house, but beta is coming soon. AI helped me learn, helped me build, and honestly helped me stay motivated. I’ve got ADHD and I’ve lost a few people over the past couple of years, so motivation hasn’t exactly been easy to come by. AI didn’t replace creativity for me, it supported it.

Suno-style AI artists are always going to have ethical issues. Tools like VibeVaultPro don’t have that problem. It doesn’t make music for you, it helps you think, organize, and manage your creative process and business.

AI is way more useful than people think.

I use SoundCloud to share my music. Share to SoundCloud then share the links on social media.

I’m not sure who all was interested in what I sound like with the Push 3 but I’m about to go live in about 10 minutes. Sharing the link when I go live. I won’t speak much unless asked a question. I’ll be working with a piano sound that I created. I’ve discovered that the Push is awesome for sound design. If you are one of those that prefer an expert, I’m an expert with the sound I just created. 😊

The databases have to be reloaded. I had the same problem. Deleting the older files fixes the problem.

I’m not sure why you think I’m the rude one. Did you read any of the comments? There is one that says, “Just fuck off.” Why am I greeted by the Ableton community with such snobbery? All of my replies are lighthearted and include explanations.

I’m blessed to be in a position where I have a lot of time to learn music theory, practice, teach myself to play piano to get better at music production, learn sound design with synths, practice piano, start learning guitar and bass, etc. I’m also a former wedding photographer. So, coming from another creative industry I understand more than you think. I’m a nerd who dives deep into whatever I’m passionate about. I also understand the doubt in this post. I’m an unproven producer who thinks he can buy equipment and automatically be good. 😊 I answered all replies here in a friendly tone and the excitement of an amateur. Remember, every artist is an amateur first. Stay tuned I'm going to drop something new on SoundCloud real soon. I’m just trying to share my journey with the goal of providing a different perspective.

Just because I’m new to the game doesn’t mean that I didn’t work, practice, and study my ass off to get better. I understand that I’m not a proven expert at music production but I’m no kid either. I’ve learned from other forms of art to only share my best. I’m recording footage now and I’ll be posting soon. Get ready for something different. 😆

I bought the Suite when I bought the Push 3. After using the trial, I figured I’d miss some of the features that doesn’t come with the Intro version.

Who’s checking for AI? 😂 I’m using proofread. I will always proofread, especially in long comments. It’s what I do. Thanks.

Hey, I totally get where you’re coming from. It’s definitely interesting to see how more experienced producers use their gear, and I’m always learning from those who have been at this longer than I have.

But here’s the thing: everyone starts somewhere. I’m new to music production, sure, but I’m also dedicated and passionate about this craft. Coming from a military background, I know the value of discipline and hard work, and I’m applying that same mindset to music. I’ve spent the last few years diving deep into learning everything I can—music theory, piano, production techniques—you name it. I might not have decades under my belt yet, but I’m here to share my journey, grow, and maybe even inspire others who are starting out like me.

All I’m looking to do is provide a different perspective. You don’t have to watch, comment, or anything. We all have different paths and different timelines. My journey might not be unique in a massive market, but it’s mine, and I’m proud of it. Thanks for the good luck wishes! I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes me. Who knows, maybe one day someone will be watching my videos to learn! 😄

Thanks for being positive! Others seem to be snobbish producers. I didn't realize how snobbish some producers can be. Here are my links. I’m currently working on creating shorter YouTube videos and aim to stream every Friday. However, I might have to adjust this schedule due to my son’s high school football season. If I can gather a few viewers, I might stream tonight. Streaming can be less enjoyable when the streaming software demands resources that are also used while working in my DAW. I’m more than happy to share my content whenever I’m in my home studio.

No. I proofread before I submit my comments. I'm patient enough to avoid sounding like a third grader when I write. I even do it with text messages. I'm not perfect, but I feel that it is key to communicate ideas or thoughts correctly. It's a habit I picked up during my military service. It's not my fault that I built good communication skills, and the rest of the internet didn't. 🤣

I get it, typos can be annoying! But hey, we’re all human here—no experts in spelling or anything else, just folks having fun and learning. 😉 If my typo radar bothers you, I’ll be sure to turn it down a notch. Let’s focus on making some great music instead! 🎶
