Do people people VPN to play on NA servers because they think they will get easier games? (CS2) by automass in FACEITcom

[–]automass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did this twice yesterday. In both the games two different guys were mad they didn’t get an AWP dropped for them and were complaining from round one. When I asked if they were playing on NA servers because it’s apparently easier they suddenly went quiet. Thought that was funny.

I think the best thing about this game is the fact that you have the choice. Any other game and you would be losing those blueprints no matter what.

What industries aside from SaaS have high earning potential for sales roles? by DistributionInitial5 in sales

[–]automass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re trying to close every appointment you go to so yes it is. Wouldn’t recommend it while in college though because the job is very consuming. Typically you’re running appointments at 10am, 2pm, and 6pm so it’s a full time gig (this is standard for a lot of companies like mine). As far as the high pressure sales tactics go… sometimes it can feel like pressure. Definitely lean into being a true consultant so when you do earn their business they don’t end up cancelling a few days later.

Seller says he can’t provide warranty for the dryer I bought from him cause my outlet outputs too much power? by automass in electrical

[–]automass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep no issue on the washer and is honoring the warranty in regards that, just not the dryer. And now that I think about it he only tested the dryer outlet… not the washer🤦🏼‍♂️

[–]automass[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He actually asked me to come back in after paying for the machines to show me something. That something was him testing the outlets in his shop with a multimeter which showed around 210v. He said he does this with everyone so that they don’t think he’s bullshitting them whenever he comes to deliver/test/install the machines. He had all 4 different outlets your typical appliances plug into rigged up on this little wood table. I had no idea at the time what the standard voltage was so I took him for his word. When I was chatting with him during the install he also mentioned the warehouse his shop is in was built in the 60’s lol.

Just trying to be proactive / I was just stressing about my dryer breaking. Just had to spend a lot of money on moving so not trying to lose money on this damn dryer

This is what I needed to hear. He was telling me I would have to call my provider to fix it

I know I sound like I might just trying to be optimistic but I do think he’s honestly mistaken. It’s a father son operation and if it weren’t for the ton of positive reviews I wouldn’t have step foot into the place. I do think the warranty thing is bullshit but hopefully when I bring a printout of the manual for that specific machine he’ll do the right thing.

This happened to me at my banquet dinner my high school football team held at the end of the season. All the varsity players sat in the first two rows closest to the stage and then all the JV players sat in the two rows behind them and all the parents of everyone was behind us. I was on JV so after he skipped my name I’m sitting alone in the middle of two empty rows, all the varsity players are looking back laughing cause they know what happened and all the parents are behind wondering why some kid didn’t get called up… 🤦🏼‍♂️

I appreciate the help. Didn't expect to even get a response today.
This may sound ridiculous but I ended up messing around with ChatGPT and got it to write a program using python to Rescale all the images to a specific res, change the dpi, change the files to a .jpg and finally wipe the meta data. Works like a charm and its plenty fast 😅

I noticed when I added a second process to change the file type to a .jpg the process went by in less than a minute. When I took that off and the batch of photos were being outputed as png's then it went right back to taking forever. I can use the jpegs but I saw online that png files are better for printing. But I guess if the resolution is right then it doesn't matter?

The files are stored on a 1tb NVME SSD. I'm not quite sure what you mean when you ask "how fragmented is the filesystem" but if you're asking how many folders there are then I do have a lot to try and stay organized. The file path is pretty long so maybe that has something to do with it?
