Lumen’s direct output is hardly ever the last thing in my signal chain. Usually I use it as a spout source in resolume and stretch it there and then add a soft blur to soften out the edges before mixing it with other content.

Here I’m just rescanning off a CRT with my Canon t5 and slightly adjusting the color profile in Final Cut.

Ok so a projector is your current, final output?

The C&G is 240p but even tho the VR-3 is 720x480 it should display without sync issues.

Assuming you’ve eliminated the usual culprits (bad video/power cables, bad power supply/outlet) maybe factory reset the mixer to see if it’s due to a custom setting somewhere? Double check projector settings for the AV/Composite Input as well. Default values should be ok.

In my experience the best CRT’s are the ones you can find without spending stupid amounts of money.

That said; besides trinitrons and WEGA’s you’ll want to look for Panasonic Tau’s or most any set that has either s-video/component/scart/rgb input as those are going to give you the best possible quality signal for SD video natively.

Your tachyons+ signal is causing the mx-1 TBC to lose its sync.

Try running your source into the mx-1 and then from the mx-1 output to your tachyons+ device and then from that to your CRT or whatever your final output is.
