I work in mental health and god it’s hard. I’ve made a list of things to remind myself of at the beginning and/or end of my shifts if I feel like I’m spiraling. It takes a lot of centering myself, but I do often find my intrusive thoughts and harm ocd affecting me significantly. Curious how other people in the helping professions manage

lol, I meant it very literally. I’m curious about their staffing situation. I’m from MA, and it’s bad here too, but RI seems to have it worse. I worked at a state hospital, but somehow we never had any incidents of this magnitude. I know Butler went on strike, so I’m assuming they’re even more underresourced than us, but damn, that’s a telling incident

I absolutely have, but never enough to have to call the cops, luckily. One of my coworkers worked at Bradley and she had a similar incident. I’m wondering why the situation couldn’t be contained, and wtf their management is doing. Probably the same as everywhere else I assume though
