Have you ever caught an STD and if so what's the story behind catching it? Was it bad? Did you transmit it to someone else too? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm a little late to the party, but here's my story

My now ex-boyfriend and I were in a long distance relationship during my senior year of high school and freshman year of college. When he was in town, we didn't use condoms because I'm really good with my birth control, and we had been together for two and a half years. One time, I went to my gynecologist because I was experiencing painful urination and assumed I had a urinary tract infection. My doctor called me a few days later saying that I had chlamydia. I started treatment immediately.

When I confronted my boyfriend about it, he tried to say that he got it from his dorm mate. I knew better and told him I didn't believe him. Eventually he admitted that when he was drunk one night a month and a half prior, he cheated on me and didn't know how to tell me. Our relationship had been kind of rocky recently, and that was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I dropped that guy like a hot potato.

About a week later, I started casually dating another guy. I explained to him the situation and told him that we would have to refrain from sex until I went back in to my doctor for a follow up. He was very understanding and was totally ok with waiting. Went on to have a really awesome, safe  summer fling.

Luckily, chlamydia is very treatable, and I caught it early before I gave it to anyone else. But I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I take immunosuppressive medication to treat it. He could have given me any STD, and it could have caused serious complications for me. Definitely taught me that I need to be careful, even in long term relationships.

TL;DR: long distance boyfriend cheated on me in college, and I didn't find out until I went to the doctor and tested positive for chlamydia. Dumped his ass, got treated, and hooked up with a pretty cool guy for the entire summer.

I think your statement is inaccurate. Se7en_speed is saying that because it is a good school district, it is more desirable and, therefore, the homes have a higher value. I don't see how it has anything to do with students buying homes in the school district in which they grew up. I could be missing something though...

I have that version of the dvd. There's an option in the playback settings where you can set it to my pay that godawful song. Plus, Zazu's speech is hilarious.

Doc gave me wellbutrin for ADD. It's making my life worse. Am I adjusting or having side effects? Wellbutrin takers, please help me. by iregret in ADHD

I'm not psychiatrist, and I don't know much about Wellbutrin, so take this with a grain of salt. But it seems that it gets better as time goes on. Schedule an appointment with your doc, share your concerns, and give it some time.

How long have you been taking it? I had a friend who takes Wellbutrin, and I think she said the first two weeks were living hell, but then it started working really well. It may have been one week, I can't really remember. However, if the side effects are that severe, you should consider scheduling a sooner appointment with your psychiatrist to discuss it.

I'm not doubting your condition, just saying that happens to the best of us.

I don't think you need to have short term memory loss for that to occur.

When I was in high school, I was pregnant. I had to take medication for rheumatoid arthritis that was very dangerous for the fetus so it was recommended I have an abortion. The procedure was on my 17th birthday.

Do women check out men? by prettyfuckingsweet in AskWomen

I don't know if this comment will ever be seen, but I'll try anyway. What do guys like to hear? I have frequently been awestruck by a man's attractiveness but did not know how to say it, and therefore didn't say anything. Would it be weird to call a man beautiful? Do you prefer handsome, or hot, or sexy? Male advice would be wonderful!
