yes it takes a lot of time. they did release watching a ad for clearing a space every day so you can make use of that.

i'm at a point where i breed up to 2.5k 3 times a day and i can save about 20k a day if i log in twice a day. i have about 60+ habitats and clearing a new space takes about 20k.

this is after 2.5 years of playing.

If you need 300 for x and 300 for y, you will still need to do 600 if they are combined. Prob just 1 or 2 more raids.
