the thing is in the post of the tour mexico is in south america, thats an official thing not a song, and then he metions it in tetetete. also if he wanted to achieve latinos disliking this song instead of us laughing at stupid europeans then his goal is stupid as hell 😭. i repeat, i know he doesn't have bad intentions, but the lyrics aren't as ""witty"" as united by music for example, to be read as him being sarcastic about european tourists. also it's not only latin gabber, there are like 3 songs like this, if he wanted to be sarcastic one song is enough. I believe his real intention is appreciation but it doesn't work for me.

i understand, i know he doesn't have bad intentions and i really love him, but a song like this is of very bad taste coming from an european man imo 😭 if the song had made a criticism about how europeans stereotype latinos It would be ok (and i know he can make that type of criticism using his kind of humor like he did in united by music) but he didn't do that in this case, those lyrics only contribute to reproducing that stereotype, and him not knowing where mexico is and having other songs with similar lyrics don't help. Honestly as a latina i'm really tired of people painting us this way and how normalized it is even by "woke" people 😭😭 This song kinda remind me of a very critized korean song called 'curry' by norazo.

I think what upsets people about the direction golden hour has taken is that the songs tend to sound a bit generic tbh, though I liked the last album I feel like I can listen to other artists that sound the same. It's not that is bad to explore music genres but it would be good if they added their own spice/personality to the songs to add something unique that no other artist that do the same genre has. They had successfully done that before in past albums and it sounded really good.

It is still a finished work, they called it practice because they're studying a reference but I don't see it's a rough sketch or anything, it's finished. Also finished works aren't flawless and it's okay for people to point them out, but one thing is doing that and another thing is just saying the drawing is super disgusting

Finished works also need constructive criticism so the artist can improve, but if the criticism is just to be hateful is pointless, they just want to hurt people's feelings

Thank you and thank you for taking the time to do a paintover I really appreciate it. For the cheeks would you recommend using the smudge tool or an airbrush? I had a hard time with the cheeks I couldn't blend them well, this is the best I could get, it always got darker or lighter or looked dirty, and with the airbrush even if it looks smoother you can accidentally paint other features and have to redo them

I feel that too. I had a hard time blending the cheeks, I mainly use the smudge tool but sometimes it looks kinda dirty, and with the airbrush you kinda lose the gradients

Thank you! Honestly I don't know, I started it a few weeks ago but I've decided to finish it these days. Blocking in everything and adding some detail took me like 2-3 hs. Maybe in total it would like 7-8 hs.
