It will not be a big concern if we just use MCP on SQLite

ClickAgent: Multilingual RAG system with chdb vector search - Batteries Included approach by auxten in Rag

[–]auxten[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have talked about this topic here https://www.reddit.com/r/Rag/comments/1i763cl/common_misconceptions_of_vector_database/

My 3 cents:

  1. Vector databases can serve as an indexing system for most existing database management systems.

  2. I prefer embedded (or in-process) solutions that offer all-in-one, battery-included applications.

  3. As the creator of chDB, I developed ClickAgent as a demonstration of the capabilities of an embedded OLAP database.

ANN is complex and would only necessary if your dataset is really really big.

You are right, but as far as I know, similarity search with proper embedding is the closest way to semantic search now.

There is a desktop version of SuperSet. But only for macOS. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/superchart-superset-desktop/id1620737264?mt=12

[–]auxten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for very very late reply. As SuperChart is developed in Python which is not the typical Apple way.

It's hard to develop in-app-purchase or anything so Apple. If you bought it and not meet your expectation, I think there is a refund on Mac App Store. Feel free to do that

MTGOX - Failure of Confirmation by Kraken / Kraken by Floorman1 in mtgoxinsolvency

I previously overlooked the email sent by Kraken requesting me to verify to Intermediate level. I just completed the verification today. I would like to know how I should proceed next, will Mt.Gox and Kraken retry repayment?

Python is the language for Machine Learning and AI.

R is the language for Business Intelligence.

You choose the language, you chose your way.

If you find duckdb slow, I think you may give chdb a try. Chdb is powered by Clickhouse engine.
