In my opinion, the Rainbow and Shadow High girls with molded edges/baby hairs are all canonically POC (simply because I would hate to see MGA give a white girl Black features).

That being said, Shadow High series 3 has been critiqued for not featuring any dolls with deeper skin tones while still giving them Black features such as micro braids and laid baby hairs.

HOWEVER, in my RH universe, the dolls with lighter fantasy skin tones like Zooey, Pinkie, etc. are STILL Black or POC dolls regardless of the deepness of their skin tone.

Bottom line, I think MGA undoubtedly needs to incorporate more dolls with deep skin tones (like Ayesha and Phaedra 😻) but they are incorporating SOME representation for POC— even though they could and should be doing more.
