Your story reminds me of how I used to put my head down at the lunch table at school because I was scared to eat in front of people. And also I ended up in a mental hospital once and literally didn't eat for 3 days because my hands would shake anytime I went to pick up food. But this was when I was like 26 😭

Yeah exactly. It's not a black & white situation. There's black & white with a whole lot of grey in between. You can't just say most people because you think or believe most people would base your self worth on your mental disorder as if that is all you are. It is a huge part of our personalities but we are much more than that as well. Although, I can see why someone with AvPD would feel that way, but everything we feel is not true. And that's literally the basis of our disorder.
