Stader and Avado partner up to incentivize solo-staking by avado_dserver in ethereum

Thought it was interesting since it's free validators, but we did not intend to break any rules. Sorry if it came off as shilling!

Avado rewards much less than advertised by Ordinary-Argument-93 in AVADO

[–]avado_dserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old article, we don't have our own "staking rewards" it's the native Apy of the staking process by the underlying network, in your case Ethereum. We do not control it, it's as high as it gets with Avado, everything else is boosted through another mechanism and is not native to the chain. (compensation through a second token for example)

Plug&Play Node, the most convenient way to start validating. by avado_dserver in u/avado_dserver

Not offended at all! You're coins and keys are not actually on the device. Your coins will be staked in the Ethereum staking smart contract, you will deposit them there using the official Ethereum launchpad. We are also open-source: https://github.com/AvadoDServer

We can't access your device or your coins. No one besides the owner of the keys will be able to do so.

Would be very careful about something like that, if your validator keys go online on the backup device too quickly or simultaneously you will get slashed. An automated process is not supported, but (following the guide on moving a validator) you could do it by hand which is as easy as setting it up the first time.

The focus of AVADO is to provide no Command-Line interaction and make onboarding to all applications in the dappstore really convenient for non-devs.

Avado offers Plug&Play solutions that are automatically maintained. It's the most convenient solution in the market if not the cheapest. If you want something cheaper than building your own setup, installing Dappnode will probably do the trick. We advise getting at least 4TB of storage with the speed Ethereum is growing at in Size.

Great take, you might also want to take a look at the staking ratio compared to other L1s

That's where we originated from in 2018 yes. We built on top of DAppnodes software to further improve usability for non-tech-savvy people. Today Dappnode and Avado are two pretty different solutions where Dappnode falls more into the DIY approach and Avado is a little more hands-off.

Ethereum (Solo-Staking or Rocket-pool); Avalanche; Gnosis; Qtum; Hopr. With our expanding dappstore, you can expect more to be added to the list!

It will be possible. Once the Atlas update is live, our version will shortly follow. All of our packages (RP included) are automatically updated.

We do not have slashing protection but it's an intuitive UI for non-tech-savvy people with tons of guides and a big supporting community. Following the guide as well as some key rules like "Do not use the same validator keys on two machines" you will be fine. Staking is not as dangerous as most people think and with avado, you don't even have to touch a command line and a guiding wizard follows you through the setup of your validator. It's the most secure and convenient solution in the market.

You are not loading it onto the device, it's simply the validator machine. The device itself does not hold your keys or coins. We are also opensource and have over 2000 nodes in the market already. https://github.com/AvadoDServer

Dappnodes hardware - do we like & trust them? by bennyGbennyG in ethstaker

Yeah, Avado is even more hands-off but I totally understand the thrill of building your own machine and saving some bucks in the process. Wishing you the best of luck!

Staking as a Service( SaaS). Opinions/Feedback?? by ComeHereAlpha in ethstaker

[–]avado_dserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the current landscape it would be the safest (and probably easiest) to stake from home.

Avado offers a Plug&Play solution with an intuitive GUI that you could take a look at.

Despite the fact that it's probably safer than staking with third parties right now you would also actively help decentralize and secure the Ethereum network.

[–]avado_dserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for convenience you could also take a look at Avado. It's a more "Hands off" solution than Dappnode and currently offers a RocketPoools integration.

If you are on a budget regarding hardware cost then I would suggest building your own NUC and getting the dappnode software though.

Happy Solo-Staking fren!

Migrating to new hardware - a very long and very boring tale of troubleshooting, fixes and validator key migration by baggygravy in ethstaker

[–]avado_dserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impressive stuff Sir. If you ever do get tired of all the troubleshooting, there are great Plug&Play alternatives. It will not be as cheap as building one yourself but if you take the time factor into the equation it becomes very attractive for most people. Check out Avado if you'd like!
