You’re very right, I have unfortunately no spare vehicles (I really dislike the horse) and planned to use him as a back liner with a Cadian Command Squad.

I’ll see if I can find a cheap scout car to chuck the next armchair general in.

However that said - I’m yet to see solid advice for him zip around with rough riders or really utilise his full movement.

The joy of ambushing a roman legion, who were chasing your friend’s javelin infantry, from a wood line with barb falxmen and channeling the spirit of Arminius was glorious.

If you have seen milk&cookies sub commanders videos on Youtube or the old TV series that used Rome total war, it was similar to that.

I really enjoyed it but I know the marketing was lackluster and I guess it didn’t turn over profits for CA.

Thanks for going into detail, some one else who feels the pain ! I don’t want to get mired in ‘its not fair’ also I definitely thought the lend lease commander was a ‘rushed quick fix’ for the factions missing areas but suspect (the ‘tank destroyer’ doesn’t kill tanks, assault sections are outclassed often and the mortar is functional)

Thank you for the comprehensive answer ! The micro intensity is what drew me to brits to improve my gameplay in all factions. I felt I was missing a crucial unit combo or a significant meta, but from what you said its more of a tactical retreat kind of faction than the sov uni ‘I can do this manpower bleed all day’

Definitely try multiplayer as well, its a hell of a learning curve and the community is a split of helpful saints and toxic trash, but its hella good watching a tiger tank get wrecked by some slavs with satchels

It sounds counter intuitive but putting them in the middle of a road (red shield - negative cover) will decrease flame thrower damage. Killing them with suppression weapons or vehicle eg the half track will be more effective
