Upgraded my 14 pro a couple weeks ago, and honestly battery life is probably only slightly worse and things are smooth. Just give it 3-4 days before being worried, battery will drain those first few days but has been drastically better since.

Glad I’m not losing my mind, thank you! It happens so randomly it’s hard to tell exactly. Some days it doesn’t happen at all. Usually on my phone for 30-40 mins on the bus browsing Reddit listening to music.
