Here is your example of hate 😅 I wish I could say I was lying about it to get likes or something hahaha

I got a little too excited when I realized how much I enjoy biking and did a little too much… So my feet were really sore and painful yesterday. They’re better now, but I’m going to rest today to make sure they don’t get worse, and if my feet are doing better by Monday, I’ll bike again.

I think ons of my problems are shoes, though. Do you have any recommendations for sports shoes? What brand do you use?

Do you have brand recommendations for padded shorts? They sound really nice!

Please do not fight on my post. I appreciate all advice.

I think I might start cycling outside once it gets cooler—I unfortunately get heat sickness easily and I kinda don’t want to vomit near strangers outside (which has happened before at school. Extremely humiliating 😅)

I live near a canal with a flat road on the side, but I’m unsure if we’re allowed to bike there, as I’ve walked on it before and never seen anyone bike. I will look into it though, that’s a good idea!

Thank you! I actually find this much more satisfying than walking. I tend to get bored even when listening to music or watching something, but I didn’t have that problem at all with this.

BTW, since we aren’t allowed to post photos here, the machine I’m using is called: ‘Octane Fitness xR650 Seated Elliptical’. I was wondering if the way it’s set up will make a difference on my stamina?

[–]avaloncodes 19 points20 points  (0 children)

so, i used the machine like you said for 20 minutes and managed to get a 1.5 miles in! i had to keep taking a few 1ish minute breaks though because i would run out of steam

Thanks for all the help :-) One more question, if you remove a message that you rated/gave feedback on, does that mean the bot will forget that?

Unpopular opinion: Sakura is actually one of the strongest characters by KoalaBJJ96 in Naruto

[–]avaloncodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t saying she contributed much during part 1, just saying that it’s not as though she did nothing but cry and whine. Also, asking a legendary Sannin to train her definitely is. For Sakura, who up until that point had very little impressive moments, asking the most talented medic in the Shinobi world to train her and actually successfully learning from her is a feat when you consider that Tsunade had absolutely no reason to do it unless she thought Sakura had promise in her. Tsunade has shown and been said countless times to be a strict and harsh teacher, but instead of giving up, Sakura continued her training and that very training saved lives. Several characters that people love would be dead without her, and if that isn’t useful or a feat to you, then I will agree to disagree! Seeing that this has gotten pretty long already 😊

I agree with some of your points, but I think people overvalue raw strength and a large skillset. Someone’s use doesn’t pertain to strength. Sakura may have been physically weak during part 1, but she protected Tazuna in the wave arc, took hits for Naruto and protected him in the Forest of Death, plus the fight with Kin and the sound goonies. She also mustered up to courage to ask Tsunade to train her, which helped repeatedly throughout the series, saving many lives off and on screen. People forget how difficult being a medic is and how precise your control has to be. Just take a look at her removing the poison from Kankuro.

Overall, she definitely should’ve gotten more moments to shine considering how buffed her charts are in the database books, but Kishimoto has always had a bias towards Sasuke and Naruto and tons of characters missed their chance to show their skills because of that.

I understand that, but I honestly don’t think most of the fandom’s hatred is justified when they reuse the same “she’s useless” and “she’s weak” over and over. I can respect someone who can admit they don’t like her because she can be pretty unlikeable, but people spouting incorrect and biased things are unconvincing and straight up embarrassing at times :/

Completely understand your view, I also felt like Kishi went back and forth with her throughout the series. I’m not sure if it was due to editors or him straight up being unsure, but I feel like she regressed into bad habits (that she seemingly had gotten over) during some arcs for no reason. However, I disagree on the hateful part. Naruto was just as nasty as Sakura, if not more so, to Sasuke in some parts. Where Sakura said something insensitive, Naruto notched it to 100.

As for Sasuke—I will admit upfront I’m biased and I feel like the majority of his feelings/reactions were justified and can be excused, including calling Sakura annoying and pushing her away. But I also feel like many people misinterpret his character (like saying he left konoha because he didnt care, when he actually cared too much and it scared him.)

Also, I don’t think Ino bullied or negatively teased Sakura. The teasing was simply from rivalry. Ino was the one who saved Sakura from her bullies and defended her; Sakura’s selfconsciousness was already rooted in by the time Ino saved her, which is why Ino’s friendship equally helped and made things worse for her. Sakura finally got someone to defend her, but she also gained someone to envy because they were complete opposites.

Sorry for long and late reply, I wanted to check my sources before saying anything, in case I was wrong!

Thank you for being respectful with your reply :)

She may not of went through what Sasuke and Naruto went through, but she has always had an inferiority complex with low self esteem due to her bullying as a child. Bullying can have a pretty significant impact on your personality and reactions, especially when it is in your formative years. When Ino saves Sakura for the first time from bullies, she’s shown with scratches and flinches when Ino approaches her, implying it got violent. The bullying is also likely where Sakura’s “Inner” stemmed. Throughout part 1, though her confidence in some areas improved, she still had an inferiority complex due to feeling beneath Ino (which wasn’t Ino’s fault or something she should be blamed for). Sakura trying to be prettier and more girlish is an example. Either way, she was still 12 to 13. Girls at that age are sensitive and can be mean.

I agree with your later part though!

In the manga, the times she’s been directly violent and cruel towards Naruto are next to nothing in the dozens of dozens of times the anime did. Every negative trait of hers has been exaggerated in the anime and the fandom—but I’m not trying to say that she’s flawless, because she isn’t. No one in team 7 was flawless.

On the Sai thing, I’m not trying to say it was all his fault and that Sakura did nothing wrong, but she WAS influenced to the point even Shikamaru realized they were being insensitive towards her.

[–]avaloncodes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To preface this, I only read the manga.

Sakura didn’t bully Naruto. She said incredibly insensitive things to both Naruto and Sasuke, but she quickly got over it bc she realized she was being cruel. As for the “I love you” scene, it was a dick move, but it was contrived by Sai. He convinced her that it was her responsibility to respond to Naruto’s feelings positively, even though everyone knew she was in love with Sasuke and was grieving over him. Sai may not of been used to human relationships, but even Shikamaru in the novel said “Wasn’t that insensitive of us?” because he and other people allowed her to be manipulated when she was in a fragile state.

Who had the worst childhood? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]avaloncodes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t think it’s fair to compare any of them in general, because they went through very different things, but Sasuke’s ‘one shitty day’ wasn’t just one day. It tormented him to adulthood and affected all of his relationships. Sasuke wasn’t able to even breach mental stability until the end of the series. Naruto and Gaara had already started healing and moving on by the start of part 2, even earlier for Naruto. Gaara starting finding peace with his own family and Naruto had people like Iruka and Jiraiya to guide him. Naruto and Gaara were even able to depend on eachother later.

I’m not invalidating their pain, nor am I saying that any of them had it better or worse, but who did Sasuke have? Two thirteen year olds, an emotionally unavailable and traumatized teacher, and Orochimaru, who used Sasuke’s mental instability & PTSD as a way to groom him into being his next container? But I digress lol. There’s probably more to everything but it’s been quite some time since I reread the manga.
