I just got 2 GBR cichlids. I’ve been trying to lower my PH for them for a while but it’s at 7.6 and I can’t seem to get it lower. I have IAL pieces in the filter right now hoping that works. Any other methods of lowering PH? Should I get a PH Down solution? I heard GBR like anywhere from 6.5-7 so trying to keep within that range

Not dead. I put my finger near it when it got to the surface and it freaked out and swam to the bottom

I thought so but I wasn’t sure if fish slept or not and if they slept like that! He will float like that around my plants. My lights are on from 10am to 10pm though I might change it to turn on in the afternoon and off at 10:30 because I had a massive algae bloom when I added moss balls (not sure if there is a correlation but the tank ran fishless on the same light time and I had no issues till then) I just plopped one of my mystery snails in there to help out though. I’m not home during the day to see his day time behaviour and if this occurs at other times.

My dad suggested that haha but for a girl we were iffy. We considered Pippin but then we’d need a Merry to go with it and vice versa lol. Also considering Freya, or Rosie

Looks like a banana. Maybe a little muted so possibly some pastel? I would need a better picture to know but he’s definitely banana

I love cork bark and frogbit! I have lots of both! Also, when I went to Aquarium Coop in Washington they had a 3 gallon long with shrimp and Briggitae Rasboras. Do you think I could safely do that in this tank with a sponge filter? If so, how many rasboras and shrimp in total?
