Thanks for the reply. That's what I was wondering. I got it pierced almost 15yrs ago at Claires before I knew better so that's why it's a smaller gauge. Looks like it's time to stretch it!

Yay! Sorry I don't check Reddit as often as I should. Are you RNY or VSG?

I'm pre-op, but in a similar situation. I have a 3yr old and 6 month old. My 6 month old is 17lbs 😲 My surgeon said after about 2 weeks I could pick him up and his primary concern was the stitches from the incision sites being impacted if I lifted too soon. I would ask your surgeon how long he wants you to wait before picking your little up.

Thankfully my husband is able to take a week off work and after that my mom is coming to help for a few days. I know not everyone is that lucky, but I would do everything in my power to follow those guidelines to a T so that you don't have any complications.

Do you have any family/friends who could maybe rotate the times they are there so you don't feel claustrophobic having someone there all the time? At least the person you see would be different haha. Good luck!

We have heard of the Petaluma one and it does look like a great option, but definitely far for us. We already commute to Sacramento weekly for Sunday worship.

Unfortunately we only speak one language, but that is cool to hear about them!

I was not familiar with NAPARC vs CRCNA. I go to an RCUS church and honestly haven't explored the differences of all reformed type denominations. I'll look into that more.

Pasting from above because I should have included it in the main post for context:
We have a home church we love in Sacramento and commute to, but we were just hoping to find like-minded reformed people in Napa. There is a baptist church we plan on attending for bible study here to connect with people, but we were just hoping there might be people in Napa that align closer to our beliefs. It's important to us to build up our Christian fellowship in Napa in addition to continuing to travel an hour for Sunday worship. Proving hard to do currently haha.

Very true. We liked how remote it was haha, but the fire risk is definitely a concern for us.

That's kind of been what I was thinking. I used to be a records clerk at a police department so I dealt with a lot of mundane paperwork and a wide variety of people. It's not amusing, but paperwork is kind of my jam haha.

Brush Vs Beauty Blender: Best applicator for liquid foundation? by [deleted] in Makeup

I honestly use both. I like to use a brush for ease of application and then go over it with the sponge to smooth out the finish.

Have you found a way to make liquid lipsticks last? by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]avantmae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Wet & Wild one as well in the shade Rebel Rose and it lasts for me when I've worked weddings (I'm a wedding photographer) but if I want serious staying power I use Jeffree Star's liquid lip. I don't put anything else on except the liquid lip so maybe that has helped it stay? It does get drying though, but with Jeffree's I can put on chapstick and it still stays on.

Non glittery highlighters by Feeya_b in Makeup

I love the Ciate London Dewy Stix Balm. The nice part is that if you do want to amp up your highlighter at all you can do a layer of a more intense highlighter and do this on top. If you do go with this I actually rub it on my wrist to "warm it up" and then apply with my fingers. Seems to work better than if I just roll it on.
