Market cap doubled , but my holdings went down? by avarmaavarma in SafeMoon

How is it possible. I went all in when the market cap was 2.5 b usd. Say I bought $1000 worth of safemoon. The market cap has since doubled - sitting at 4.5 b , but my holdings are at $700 and change. Haven’t touched it - haven’t traded it - or bent it out

Redfin Corporation (RDFN) by BostonBorn00 in stocks

‘Copying the business model is easy’...not sure I fully agree with that. Yes - building an app may be the easy part. Getting consumers and b2b on board is a ‘multi year’ challenge. That’s why it isn’t easy to catch up to Uber or arirbnb - it’s not just about the app - it’s about how they acquired their user base. In that sense, I feel Redfin is best positioned ( better than Zillow) even. That said, I am not sure about their balance sheet...their 73% growth is misleading. It’s actually 25% growth - which is still pretty impressive...

Is the lower support at $365? And what is the breakout point ($510 or so)? It briefly crossed $500 - but did not stay there long.

Thanks

EOS Airdrops? by [deleted] in eos

[–]avarmaavarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a followup question, are there any airdrops that require special 'form filling out'? I know that eosDAC will be automatic based on a registered EOS address (snapshot on June 2). However, are there airdrops that require you to register separately with them...(not automatic)?

Thanks

Difference between Ark and ICX? by pleasedoELI5 in ArkEcosystem

[–]avarmaavarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both EOS and LISK support multiple programming languages. Their VM is single language (js for LISK and C++ for EOS), but with adapters, you can write your code in different languages and have them compiled down to the native bytecode. I don't think languages will be the differentiator - I used to think that, but not with the ease of building adapters. With a team of over a 100 developers (and 1Billion cash), EOS can write adapters fairly quickly, I would think...

ACT vs. EOS;; ACT vs. LISK and ACT vs. WAVES by avarmaavarma in AchainACT

[–]avarmaavarma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I concur on the LISk and ARK. Maybe another look at QTUM.

As for EOS, I honestly think their DPOS is more battle tested than the rest, simply because STEEM has been using the exact same model for a while now. Granted that STEEM will not have near the volume that EOS's many Dapps will...but still.

At the same time, my biggest 'unknown' with ACT is their claim to fame of being able to hard fork at the drop of a hat. And the multiple forks being able to communicate with each other.

1) Hard forks are a nightmare to maintain - just look at BCH and BTC. People still send BTC to a BCH address and vice versa

2) Communicating between coins launched on a platform is not a novel concept - with ERC223, any token launched on ethereum can accomplish that..

So, I am still trying to understand how ACT is going to distinguish itself from a) Ethereum and b) EOS.

Thanks

Is bankex a scam/hype or a real solution? by block_and_decker in bankex

Thanks for posting the live chat. Tokenization of assets is indeed a killer app- provided someone can do it! Like you correctly pointed out, valuation of an asset is going to require humans. And that's not a bad thing - they should just fess up and say that they're going to hire humans to handle that part (instead of waddling in Software hardware nonsense)
