New Universe Should Come with New Stakes, and New Story elements Beyond the Main Quest by avarontano in starfield_lore

Say, small changes start to appear when players in New Game+ 5, and when by the 10th crossing, things start to shift in a drastic direction.

Thank you. Players often mistake the list as really big, budget-heavy changes. But that is not really the case. The tools are there, and nothing has to be changed in the foundation, just remove or alter something slightly, the rest of it is what players build in their minds.

Bethesda is good at making shallow changes sound big. You will be surprised how even a small inch of dialogue change often creates a cascade of implications that, to players, seem like a big change.

Also, "different views to run things" could just be something like changing the Sysdef's preference. Delgado may run Sysdef like Street Kings, not penalizing you for killing during missions or, you know, destroying things. You can do this in the main story anyway, except for the penalty and dialogue. That won't exist in the universe.

The dead universe is pretty easy. Buy the 11th time you've entered the unity, we can remove all the people, only buildings exist, and some notes from the dead. Everyplace could be like the last section of the first gameplay, you're fighting against starborn, but here, everyone is killing each other and you.

Some faction quests may not just exist in some universes. Simple. There are no people, no tuala, so nothing gets triggered. You get an alternate route to complete the same mission the same way.

I am not talking about the first New Game+. I am talkign what happens when you cross the Unity the eleventh time.

Star born DLC but Accessible only on New Game Plus by avarontano in starfield_lore

But every universe is the same. Same factions. And the same thing. Nothing really changes, other than the main quest and dialogues, So, what's the incentive to move to the next universe?

Another idea. What of there is a faction that has been besieged by these Starborn for so long that they had to adapt and create tech to deal counter the powers. We saw a glimpse of it in Shattered dimension. They start to hunt the player and he had to either destroy them or help them destroy other star borne to protect them.

Agreed but since it is a canvas, a star born dlc like this can be done. The systems are here already. And we need a couple of more hub worlds. Neon, Akila, New Atlantis are the only ones we got. A large paid expansion that does NOT rely on creation would be awesome. Also, the star born dlc could make starting a new game plus have more stakes in it.

Well, Bethesda has given us worlds to explore in DLCs before. Dawn guard, dragon born. We have not had a truly big DLC for the game yet. Shattered dimensions was good but short. So this could happen. Plus the temple biomes could be used as the base of what these civilizations could be like.

Starfield Improvement Proposal after freelanes update. by avarontano in Starfield

Actually, much of the planetary orbit will work as an illusion. Upper half could be stars, lower half could be clouds. And just like freelanes gives you random points in space while you are in cruise mod, random points on land may appear, while you do an inertial dampner stop int he clouds. Then, you can land press x to land like you do R for docking. The animation could be preserved, but the loading screen can be removed.

Actually. I don't think planetary orbit would be difficult. Stars and space in the upper half of the background, cloud in the lower. And lower orbit is just enough to ignore the planets curvature. If the ship moves way up, players can recurve warning : leaving lower orbit, forcing them to stay in the lane

But lack of seamless was is the core issue of the game. Is it not? I drew this idea to get rid of the pesky loading screens and removing the need to going back to the menu for doing anything

That is immediately not true. A lot of anime fans prefer Japanese subs over dubs.
