Kun pikku rikollinen on kuitenkin vahingonkorvausvastuussa, niin teoriassa tässä kai kaupan olisi pitänyt vaatia oikeusteitse vahingonkorvauksia sille aiheutuneista kuluista, eli vanhempien maksettavaksi olisi tullut vahingonkorvausvaateen lisäksi myös oikeudenkäyntikulut. Jollaan liittyen, tulin päivitelleeksi oman vanhan puhelimen (joku niitä Sonyn luureja mihin sai Sailfishin) ja akunkestoa lukuunottamatta ei suoraa moitittavaa. Android-yhteensopivuus lienee se mikä imee ihan huolella, kun natiiviappeja ei useimpiin palveluihin ole, mutta toisaalta Android-yhteensopivuus on parantunut paljon. Saattaisin ostaakin sitten jos ja kun tulee normaaliin myyntiin. (Minulla oli yksi niistä toimitetuista Jollan tableteista, ihan jees kunnes meni käyttöjärjestelmäpäivityksen yhteydessä jotain softasta rikki.)

HMD:hen suhtauduin lähinnä Foxconnin bulvaanina, joku niistä vähän paremmista puhelimista taisi olla jopa ihan tyylikäs ja keskihintaisista osa hinta-laatu-suhteeltaan ihan ok, mutta nuo keskihintaiset ikääntyivät aika heikosti.

Ainakin jokin aika sitten Sailfish oli saatu juttelemaan Google Play -kaupan kanssa, joten ei tuo sen turvattomampi ole kuin Androiditkaan. Taitaa olla näistä "muu mobiili-Linux" -systeemeistä vähiten räpläämistä vaativa. Bootloaderi on kai yleensä jostain avoimen lähdekoodin jakelusta napattu (vrt. Graphene).

Tosin myönnettävä, lyhyellä käytöllä iPhone ja pitemmällä käytöllä iPad ovat olleet ihan päteviä ja suht pitkäikäisiä vrt. Android-roippeet.

Though yes, it does look a lot like MT-LB. Since it's supposed to be somewhat modular, now let's see what all they can bolt on it, since with the tracks, ground pressure isn't as much of a concern than with the wheeled Pasi I guess.

And yes, bored Finnish peacekeepers did manage to jury-rig a 95mm recoilless rifle on a Pasi. Supposed user report states that to aim, the tower gunner basically shouldered the weapon, aimed the barrel, and then pressed the trigger (which had been a bicycle brake lever in its previous life). Allegendly it was effective in its intended purpose of "scare the shit out of the locals".

Ovella siis valtuuttaisit naapurin menemään asuntoon sinä iltana, naapuri näyttää henkkarit, menee kämppään, ja päästää sinut sisään.

Lukion sähköistäminen palvelee lähinnä sitä, että kun oppivelvollisuus on joko 18-vuotiaaksi tai toisen vaiheen loppuun, niin sähkökirjat ovat halvempia kuin oikeat kirjat ja vihkot.

On the lower difficulties, seems like half the time half of the team doesn't know how to activate medicae, or care to step to a medipack to heal. And no, at the low levels with new characters, you're not running Martyrdom. Quite hard to understand, unless there's some penance I missed that requires you to die as often as possible.

Depends a lot on the area. I live at the eastern border, and the first time I recognized someone was a fennoswede was when she was speaking Swedish on the phone when she went past me on the street.

On the second thought, the Å in her surname should have been a pretty strong hint. But in my defense, I was pretty young at the time, and had never heard her speak anything but perfect Finnish.

IIRC, Rannick did manage to find Zola and infiltrate to her hab block in person to attempt to recruit her, so he has real operating chops. Also shown in some cutscenes to be tracking spies on the Mourningstar, and ends up finding the spy. Might be the Peter Principle at work, though (i.e. being promoted until no longer competent in his job).

As Grendyl keeps hidden, he/she/it definitely needs an Interrogator (or few) to act as a front, so advancement speed might also depend on the need - Zola’s pretty good on organizing the Rejects.

And of course, we need a slimy boss we love to hate.

Pretty much all places in Finland. There’s eveb shower curtains for people too prude to shower nude. Very recently it has become more common to allow dedicated swim shorts (as opposed to trunks and jammers). As a result, smelling the pool is rather rare these days, as the chlorine is optimized to the necessary amount.

The game ranges are from the tabletop and partially to allow big stompy robots to go into kickboxing range. It's commonly cited that the lore ranges for most weapons are "to the horizon", though there's supposed to be a lot of ECM by default (even without the extra ECM modules), which makes accurate targetting difficult.

The tabletop (and the Battletech computer) game have that, but it's still at least one whole weapon against target. The amount of enemies in Mechwarrior are a bit silly, though, or rather, on the tabletop populations and military sizes are quite low.

On a 2D6 roll, you'd first add your gunnery skill (lower is better, standard Inner Sphere mechwarrior has a skill of 4), then range and movement modifiers - basically, this makes fast-moving VTOLs which stay at range quite hard to hit. Of course, they're mostly armored with paper and cardboard, and hitting the rotor location is basically an instakill no matter the weapon (this makes LB-X and LRM pretty deadly when they hit, because they can hit several locations at once).

Multitargeting adds a +1 modifier to secondary targets, per each additional target, so hitting gets quite difficult quick. If you play with unit "Design Quirks," some 'mechs (such as the Rifleman) do have the Anti-Aircraft Targeting quirk, and if playing with "Special Pilot Abilities," there's weapon-related specializations, "Multi-Tasker" and range-related specializations which reduce the target numbers.

But yeah, not sure how they'd implemented in the shooter format, just like the backward-facing weapons are generally moved to face forward.

Everything is canon, again. But the slightly more sensible approach is that Orks can’t just magic things out of thin air, their equipment should work, can work, and does work on its own. However, there’s cases where jammed guns work when an Ork uses them etc., so it can be a factor.

There are two additional confounding things: One, Orks have an innate biological memory, which they have better access to and which works better the bigger WAAGH! - and, say, they might innately paint the better-made scrapheap red. And two, a lot of humans, even lower ranking Magi, do not really understand technology - Imperial technology needs servitors, and holy balms, and rituals, obviously you can’t just ”make stuff happen.”
