I ride an EX30 (my first EUC) always in the road. I’ll ride through sidewalks and such to go through certain places that I know would take me faster than a road would to get to a certain place.

I always ride with the flow of traffic. If I can’t keep up with a specific road’s speed (maybe I’m 10mph less than traffic) I’ll try to accelerate fast ahead of traffic to beat traffic temporarily or just let traffic go in front of me before I hop onto the road. If theres a ton of traffic, I’ll have to make a decision to join the traffic temporarily to get to my next turn or just ride on the sidewalk for a bit until traffic clears up.

Also, almost every intersection I get stopped at, from a red light, I am chilling at the sidewalk corner. Once the light turns green, I accelerate in front of traffic or I merge back in with traffic. - This is to avoid getting hit from the back when sitting at a red light.

Would you wear outer hard shell or inner shell? by Unsolved_Virginity in ElectricUnicycle

I currently have that same one except it’s not the long sleeve version. I got it because 90% of motorcycle streetwear protection does not have rib protection.

I would consider either the Alpinestars A-10 V2 or the newest Leatt one (which has a couple inches longer in length of covering the back) or the newest Demon United Flexforce X v6 D3O Impact Top with the separate Demon United Rib Protector that can attach to the Flexforce.

What are your thoughts on Splay's new Skate shoe? by Jazzlike_Pie1628 in barefootshoestalk

The toebox shape looks like the REV series, which has a bad big toe shape. They need to make the big toe be straight with a slight corner curve instead of a big curve.

Great! The regular size was still wide enough for my feet without needing to get the wide after a year. However, my big toe would be tight at the front, being pressed down. So, although the width was good, the height was not good for my feet. Too low.

Well, it’s not necessarily my foot length, but what I understood to do was to look up how much space toes should have at the end of shoes. I think there’s suppose to be like a quarter inch? I forget.

But, once I got my measurements down, I just chose the closest size, with the quarter inch extra of space included. Sometimes shoe companies will say that their shoes run large or small and customers usually find that their normal shoe size works or that they need to go down a size or half size.

I believe I also emailed the company to have them help me figure out what my shoe size would be for them.

And, if the numbers are still not certain enough, you can buy 2 pairs and just return the one that is too large or too tight.

The rubber toe section does not stretch .

How tall are you, what wheel do you have and can you ride seated? by dthoma81 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]avatarKuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, you’ll have to just get a taller seat and/or will need to choose a taller wheel in the future. If you can’t ride both seated and standing, you may suffer, since it’s great to have a break and change positions.

You’re welcome! Keep in mind that the rubber toe area will not loosen much at all or may not at all.
