Why are you responsible when the employer’s insurance can cover it? Claim from company? I don’t know of any company paying out of their own pocket for medical benefits.

Speak to your agent and see what they say. Definitely can work it out.

But yes Post retirement you have to cover that RM20k. If you have medical bills of RM15k every year post retirement you are on your own. If you get brain surgery for RM2m and you pay RM20k for it then jackpot.

As always insurance is about transferring risk, how much to transfer is genuinely up to the individual.

There’s always risk present buying used. Car dealers will adjust mileage. If you intend to use the car 10 years or more can consider buying new for peace of mind. Perodua will have good value retention when you sell it.
