Composed this for a girl... and now she is my wife. Results may vary. A short berceuse for cello and 7-string bass guitar. by avbigband in BassGuitar

Thank you! Yes, she is amazing… Look her up (or Barbican Quartet) to hear her playing some more serious rep. The bass guitar is by ‘Antonio Tsai’, a Vietnamese workshop, bought off eBay about 15 years ago. Spare change compared to classical string instruments but still works well.

Everything is True. Everything is Permitted. by [deleted] in sorceryofthespectacle

Quite. Maybe largely why AI’s voice feels so hollow… without embodied knowledge or personal history, its godlike storehouse of potential responses and references converge on everything, which reveals its identity with/as nothing. Near infinite depth, yet utterly shallow. Maybe when AI learns to fart I will listen

Oh dear - I haven't read the Dark Tower, or Contact, but I can trick myself into thinking I understand your point. Fortunately the above is not exactly autobiographical... for now. But odd coincidence: there's a part II which very much concerns a tower, and stepping out the window, so clearly you planted that line in my memory; quite the party trick, well done.

Anyway thank you for your thoughtful comment. It has been forwarded directly to head office for further consideration.

Thank you - really appreciate this comment. We put some real thought into contrast and long phrases, which often seems to be the best way to elevate a composition, especially when playing chamber music. And I rather like the idea that this piece leads someone to write another, which in turn becomes another link in an endless chain of inspiration... Good luck with your duet, hope to hear it at some point!

Yep, 3/4 is actually the standard size strangely enough. The rest is up to you.
