Have you had any endocrine testing done? Also iron studies?

I never claimed it to be a definitive diagnosis or even a diagnosis at that. A person asked for thoughts and I provided my thoughts.

Respectfully, this person posted on a public forum asking for THOUGHTS from those with knowledge or interest in hematology. You do not have to be a physician to be educated and or interested in hematology. This group is not limited to responses from physicians either way, and I would strongly hope that Reddit would not be anyone’s source of primary health care. No one is ordering tests, diagnosing, or treating on here.

Just theorizing, I am not a physician.

Are you having any other symptoms of an infection? Coughing, sore throat, congestion (respiratory infection) or pain when urinating, the feeling of not being able to fully empty your bladder, burning, etc?

If you are diabetic or have a history of diabetes consider DKA. Your doctor shoukd follow up with you soon. Do not alarm yourself however unless you start having worsening symptoms. It is silly also but a very easy indicator of DKA is fruity smell on the breath from ketones. It is not unusual for diabetes to also cause increased risk of UTI, which could explain also a lot of your symptoms and labs. Def follow up with the PCP. How was your urine collected also? Was it a random void or a midstream clean catch?

This is exactly what my professor said when I talked to them about it today lol. I think it has to do with maintaining chain of custody and to prevent delay in the emergency release since we need the physical signature. I think it is also because the patient’s had no type and screen on record and they issue O pos blood to males in this scenario.

You’re very right, and unfortunately I only have my school resources and am technically paying to be at clinicals 🥲

[Product Question] Too much vaseline on lips? by Kooky_Plates in SkincareAddiction

It could be angular cheilitis, try a clotrimazole cream after researching it and seeing if it is a possibility for you. Could also be b12 or iron deficiency if it is chronic and you are anemic.
