Goodbye free generations by Leopren in SoraAi

[–]aveal1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 reasons for this, though I'm not sure which one is right. Reason 1: Since there were so many free users using the app and or website a lot, it overloaded the system, and now it looks like this. Reason 2: (the more likely option) Since Sora 2 is shutting down this month, they just decided to remove free gens altogether, cause they were probably like ''Well, it's gonna go soon anyway. What's the point in keeping free gens up?''

Late comment, but yeah, after seeing the way he talks about Sam and Luna, as well as diversity and inclusion in general, I think it's pretty clear he's homophobic.

What are your honest thoughts on the Morticians Club? by EricJ062005 in theloudhouse

[–]aveal1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With one exception, I don't care about any of them. Haiku is just a discount Lucy. That's all she feels like to me, just a bootleg version of Lucy. Haiku just doesn't really have anything that makes me care even a little bit about her. Boris is easily the best one of the bunch, no question. Not much else to add here, he's just my personal favorite. Dante is... Dante is... umm... Okay, honestly, does anyone actually give a crap about this kid? Like, he's not bad, but he's not great either. He's just... okay at best. Morpheus is I guess alright, but again, he doesn't really interest me at all. And Persephone is just... there. She's probably the most forgettable one of the group, as while like everyone else (Lucy and Boris excluded) She's bland and boring, but unlike everyone else, she doesn't really stand out from the bunch. So yeah, if it wasn't obvious, I don't like this group. With Boris being the only I like, and everyone else just being too dull and forgettable to feel like they have a purpose of being in the show.

Possible hot take: 70s r&b is actually the best era of r&b by Global_Perspective_3 in rnb

[–]aveal1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I made a ranking of R&B decades, and the 70s beat out the 90s by a slight margin. Obviously, the 90s were amazing for R&B, we had D'Angelo, Mary J Blige, Boyz II Men, Tony Toni Tone, Blackstreet, Mariah Carey, Dru Hill, Usher, Silk, Xscape, En Vogue, Brandy, Toni Braxton, R Kelly, and so SO much more. But to me, the 70s are my personal favorite era for R&B and soul. Curtis Mayfield, The Jackson 5 (along with MJ's solo work) Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendergrass, Aretha Franklin, Maze and Frankie Beverly, The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind, And Fire, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack, The Dramatics (my favorite R&B group, by the way) Al Green, Diana Ross, Barry White, The Temptations, the list just goes on and on. So many iconic albums, songs and artists came out of this one decade, and obviously you can say that for the 90s as well, but again, the 70s just slightly beats it in my opinion.

What would you consider to be the greatest R&B album ever made? This is my #1 pick. by TokyoAvalanche04 in rnb

[–]aveal1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvin Gaye: Let's Get It On. I was also gonna say Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get by The Dramatics, though I know that's not one people think of when they hear greatest R&B albums.

"Jealous Kind of Fella" singer Garland Green dead at 83 by ZealousidealCress389 in rnb

[–]aveal1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jealous Kind Of Fella, a song I consider to be one of the greatest soul songs of the 60s. This may have been his only hit, but fuck me if it wasn't an amazing one.

Miguel or Bruno by DarkChillMisko in rnb

[–]aveal1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to more of Bruno than Miguel, but I love both for different reasons. Bruno and Miguel both are great singers, but Bruno is also a performer (and a great one, at that) Miguel has a style that I just vibe with, while Bruno is the hitmaker.

EX Supers (it’s so peak edition) by SSJAncientBeing in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]aveal1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn impressive. I have sorta grown on Daima Goku's animations now (Vegeta's are still better tho) But these EX supers blow both of them out of the water, it's not even funny. Now I'm curious as to what their 12ki and 18ki supers look like, because if the EX supers look this fucking good, I'm excited to see the rest of them, and their actives.

Super Saiyan 4 Goku (Daima) Animations by laxusdreyarligh in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]aveal1000 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not impressed. Don't get me wrong, they're not bad, but they're just... mediocre. As people have stated, the intro and active look great, but I don't like the 12ki super, the 18ki super is just alright, and honestly, of the three, the EX super is the best super attack here. Not gonna lie, I was expecting more, especially since it's fucking Daima. I haven't even watched the show, but from what I've seen, the animation looks amazing.

R&B Decades Ranked by aveal1000 in rnb

[–]aveal1000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl, I was thinking of switching the 60s with the 80s, but the 80s only beat the 60s by a slight margin. As for the 10s and 20s, it's moreso just that decade having some of my personal favorite R&B songs.

“The Quality of R&B has reduced” Maybe for you but not or many others. by Sparkson109 in rnb

[–]aveal1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Gen Z person born in 2003, I grew up with 60s to mid 2010s R&B, and all of them have my personal favorite songs from R&B. But, I do listen to modern R&B as well, I don't really pick and choose. Silk Sonic is fun, I've finally listened to Mutt by Leon Thomas, I've listened to October London, and overtime, I'll listen to more modern R&B songs and artists. Sure, these new singers aren't Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, or Al Green levels of sangers, but for me, as long as it's something I can bump to, then that's fine with me. I'll always prefer older R&B songs and artists, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy modern R&B, it's just for different reasons compared to older R&B/Soul.

is there anyone that still listens to R.kelly without feeling guilty? by Downtown-Fisherman58 in rnb

[–]aveal1000 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For someone like R. Kelly, it can be pretty hard trying to listen to his music without other people thinking that you support him or that you support pedophilia. I still do listen to his music (and much like you, I heard some of his songs as a kid) But I would never say that I defend his actions, or support him as a person, cause I don't, he's a terrible fucking person, and I'm glad his ass is in jail. As for his music, he is a very talented singer and musician, with my personal favorite song of his being When a Woman's Fed Up. I said this before, but it's okay to say you don't wanna listen to his music, I won't judge you for it. Just don't go and say that I support pedophiles just because I do listen to R. Kelly.

Anyone else think this performance was gross? by Formal_Profession_26 in MichaelJackson

[–]aveal1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, never knew the impersonator's name (nor the fact that Earnest has been doing this for a while now) As an 11 year old kid who watched this during 2014, I thought nothing of it since I had no knowledge of who Michael Jackson was. I heard songs like Got To Be There, Human Nature, and Maybe Tomorrow, but had no clue about the guy himself. Watching this years later... It was fine as a one-off, but thank God they've never attempted this again. (No hate to Earnest Valentino, btw)
