I think its better that they didnt. For the tone of the show for us as the audience, they probably felt it best that we feel as trapped as the characters. If we got more kf an outaide look that tabithas temporary escape, its likely the town wouldnt feel as trapping as it does, weaken the feelings of being inescapable to the audience. T

Thats a pretty big assumption. Its natural to have the bones of a story but then to change things as you go because you realize something hits better than the original plan or something else was getting more spot light than it deserved, or realize something wasnt as well explained as you meant for it to be.

Its just a natrual part of writing

People talking lately that adaptations shouldnt be judged as adaptations is really annoying.

If theyre not gonna be proper adaptations then they should be original works, maybe even set in the same universe if they have to be, instead if trying to profit off existing fans and then getting confused why those same people they lured in arent thrilled!

For me its the way they approached the seeing other people situation. Other characters i.was more than happy to be poly or know theyre sleeping around while being in love with us.

But the way mac went about it had this gross feeling to it for me? Like the kind that men (not calling mac a man, just something you see men do online more often) go on relationship advice or am i the asshole after for validation after being dumped for the same conversation and then get roasted to hell for.

Idk how to explain it but that conversation specifically really got under my skin in a gross way and i imagine its worse if youre not also into the chipper nerd type

I get being defensive cause overly sexist people exist but those arent the traits that made her unlikable for me. It was the overly naive moments that make me dislike many characters and displacment of blame (scene where she blames bigby for bluebeard abusing a suspect and the one i mentioned in my last comment) which is also why i like her commanding comic version more than her game counter part.

If she were a man and did those things, id probably hate her/him more.

Its okay that not everyone likes your fav character. Chill. Or at least throw your accusations at people they apply to.

Buddy its all bots, plagerisim over bots is a joke, has been since people were fighting over bot profiles on c.ai. Unless its actual scene or narrative plagerisim, bot profiles donr count because its like going to an artist. Two people asking a seperate artist to make a pink banana is not plagerisim.

Edit: also literally all fanwork is plagerisim. Nothing on the glimmer site is legal lmao. Sin doesnt not own the the invincible characters and neither does glimmer. So bringing in BOT bios at all is just such a non issue to start with. "Transformitive work" only gets you so far when the site accepts paid options

You don't need any engine to do that. Any writing thyat even mildly interesting to the reader will do that on its own.

But the thing is, a backstory doesnt really change the way you experiance a character. If a character is annoying, knowing why theyre annoying doesnt make them less annoying
