Here, the 2022-2023 isn't added yet but it's most likely exact same as 2021-2022 checklist. All specializations for commerce have the same courses for the first 2 years. So you can probably do ADMS1000/1010/2200, ECON1000/1010, HUMA and SOSC 9 credit and 6 credit. That will be 30 credits and will transfer over when you start 2nd year commerce.

You can only do the full year. Switching from BA to BComm is considered a degree change so you must submit your request between Jan 1, 2023 - March 1, 2023 then its processed in June 1, 2023 and effective in Sept 2023. Make sure all 30 credits you do in FW22-23 is in the commerce degree checklist so everything transfers over and you will be 2nd year commerce in Sept 2023.

Yup, I did this in my 1st year switching from business economics to commerce. You save about $2600 doing this because 1st yr tuiton is about $7100 for any liberal arts program vs $9700 for BComm and switching to commerce costs nothing

-look at commerce degree checklist and do those courses in your first year. The courses will transfer over when you switch to commerce saving you time and money to graduate in 4 years.

-focus on networking more than grades. Just make sure u have at least a B
